What you will do:

The Sr. Engineering Technician schedules, designs and performs unique experiments as requested, evaluates and confirms test data accuracy and generates formal verbal and/or written reports on the findings to the appropriate personnel.

  • Will prioritize , schedule, design and perform routine to extremely complex experiments of a broad scope, which comply with FDA requirements and appropriate engineering standards

  • Will extract and process data/findings into formal written and verbal reports which comply with FDA requirements

  • Will be required to comply with documentation procedures and appropriate engineering standards

  • Will coordinate with other units to ensure appropriate tests, equipment and results are obtained

  • Will submit periodic reports on assigned topics to appropriate personnel

  • Will work from verbal and/or written instructions

  • Will train other on technical function related procedures

  • May coordinate the activities of 1 or more subordinate and/or temporary employee

  • May coach and develop subordinate employees

What you need:

  • High school degree or equivalent experience required

  • Associate’s degree in related field or equivalent experience preferred

  • 3+ years related technical experience

  • Advanced computer and appropriate application skills

  • Demonstrated ability to operate small hand tools (e.g. pliers, screwdrivers, hammer, wrenches etc.), power tools and common test equipment (e.g. data loggers, strip recorders, micrometers etc.)

  • Advanced math and technical writing skills

  • Excellent problem solving skills

  • Effective interpersonal communication skills
