Job Summary

Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a LIMS Senior Specialist to join our Cell Therapy Facility (CTF) QC Systems team in Devens, MA. The Sr. Specialist will report to Devens QC LIMS management and collaborate closely with global LIMS team to support LabWare LIMS and ELN (electronic laboratory notebook) applications for the QC laboratories and other functional areas such as Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and QA. This includes, but is not limited to, supporting Devens LIMS/ELN deployment, master data builds, troubleshooting, creation and improvement of procedures, training and technical support to end users at Devens CTF.

The LIMS Sr. Specialist role is stationed in Devens, MA and reports to the Senior Manager, LIMS for the Devens CTF.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide LabWare LIMS and ELN operational support to end users
  • Work closely with global LIMS team on creation, deployment, and sustaining of LIMS and ELN documentation and Master Data
  • Provide LIMS end user training for laboratory and production employees
  • Work closely with global LIMS team, Devens functional areas to assist with troubleshooting issues and investigations/deviations
  • Manage/Track/maintain user metrics
  • Communicate effectively with management regarding task completion, roadblocks, and needs
  • Own and perform assigned tasks within a CAPA, deviation, change control or projects
  • Lead and participate in projects and continuous improvement efforts
  • Perform other tasks as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in molecular biology, software engineering, or related science or engineering field.
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience, preferably in a regulated environment. Prior experience with LabWare LIMS either as a LIMS specialist or QC lab analyst is desired. An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
  • Knowledge of analytical and microbiological test methods and environmental monitoring programs preferred.
  • Experience with QC operations in a GMP regulated environment. Ability to accurately and completely understand, follow, interpret and apply Global Regulatory and cGMP requirements.
  • Detail-oriented with problem-solving capabilities. Technically adept and logical.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills. Ability to train others and communicate effectively with peers, department management and cross-functional peers.
  • Ability to work in a high-paced team environment, meet deadlines, and prioritize work across projects.
