The IT Technical Support Specialist supports Windstream’s internal customers. This support takes place remotely or in a Windstream facility. The position is responsible for PC deployments, upgrades, repairs, and disposal. Additionally, the IT Technical Support Specialist supports software installations, removal, configuration, and connectivity. The ideal candidate will be able to function successfully in an up-tempo environment that requires the ability to address complex problems that will involve hardware, software, and network issues. This is a customer-facing position and demands outstanding customer service and professionalism. Essential Functions External/Internal - Manage Windstream’s PC assets - - Ordering - Inventory - Deployment - Repairs - Image computers with the Windstream corporate image. - Resolve internal Windstream customer computer, software, and network issues. - Engaging other Windstream teams when necessary to resolve issues. - Proactively identifying problems and finding resolutions. - Communicating complex technical issues to non-technical customers. - Attention to Detail & organizational skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Provide outstanding customer service. - Project participation, overtime, and travel as required. - Valid driver’s license required. - Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: Associate Degree in technical field and 5 years directly related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and directly related Technical experience required. Bachelor’s degree may be substituted for some experience as deemed appropriate.
