About the Role: This position will support the many technical challenges Wholesale often encounters on Activations and Data Translations Network builds. The Wholesale team is often required to work with other teams within Windstream to devise a custom solution or workarounds to get service installed. If such steps are required, communication with the various Engineering and Activation teams will be necessary to prevent delays. This position would also represent Wholesale in executive level escalation support to help drive orders to completion. What You'll Do: - Engage the Windstream teams on a peer-to-peer basis and work issues to resolution - Support for Wholesale teams from a troubleshooting and engineering standpoint - Awareness for network changes as this new position would work closely with counterparts within engineering to specifically address the technical challenges encountered within the TTU (layer 1 ,2,3) - Flexibility to keep device based and process-based training current and up to industry standards - Develop new and better methods to deliver our products with maximum efficiency and reliability - Work directly with vendors for development and troubleshooting issues that arise on the network - Interact with Customer Technicians and end user vendors to test and turn up new service - Collaborate with Project Coordinators and other stakeholders to improve and streamline order process - Interface with other teams to create new processes and automations for team - Work with Blue Planet developers to create automation for EOF (ethernet over Fiber) circuits - Perform UAT testing for Blue Planet automation - Provide Tier II support and training to members of the TTU team Layer 2/3 - Resolve escalated issues from other technicians on the team - Use ADVA QT600 test set to run RFC test on customer circuits and explain results to internal and external customers Do You Have? - Ability to implement and trouble shoot routing protocols like BGP and OSPF using IPV4 and IPV6 test and turn up Ethernet over Copper and Ethernet Over Fiber circuits - Experience with testing and turning up of DIA (direct internet access) orders on Cisco ASR and Juniper MX routers - Capacity to turn up and test DIA (direct internet access) using IPv4 and IPv6 as well as subnet IPv4 addresses - Experience with configuring/provisioning TDM services over Cisco, Fujitsu, Turin, etc. - Ability to configure and turn up Adtran and Calix GPON service - Background with configuring the following: VLANs on Cisco, T5C, and Juniper switches; Cisco 7600, ASR, Nokia 7750, and Juniper MX series routers for layer 2 service; and Adtran TA5000 and Overture devices for EOC (ethernet over copper) services - Capacity to configure and troubleshoot Accedian Metro NID and Metro Nodes and Cyan and Ciena packet optical equipment - Experience with configuring and troubleshooting Juniper MX, Cisco 7600, Cisco ASR9k, and Nokia/Alcatel routers and switches ( Including locating free VLANS and configuring VLANS) - Ability to turn up and trouble shoot metro Ethernet services and to test and turn up Accedian Metronid/Metronode - Capacity to train and create training documentation Even Better: - CCNA/JNCIA certifications - MEF-CECP certification Our Benefits: - Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance Plans - Identify Theft, Legal, Auto & Home and Pet Insurance - 401K Plan - Health & Flexible Savings Account - Life and AD&D, Spousal Life, Child Life Insurance Plans - Educational Assistance Plan About US: Windstream Holdings, Inc., is a leading provider of advance network communications and technology solutions for consumers, small businesses, enterprise organizations and carrier partners across the U.S. IND123
