The Specialist, LIMS, QC Tech Services, will report to the Manager, QC Tech Services, and is responsible for supporting Master Data Management (MDM) activities and System Support. This includes, but is not limited to, making modifications to the laboratory e-systems, troubleshooting e-systems related issues, and assisting with system updates and/or enhancements.

This position interacts with System Admins, System Super Users, QC Management, and System End-Users in QC and Manufacturing.

The position is located at the Phoenix, Arizona site. The position may also provide support to end-users located at other sites using the CELabs (Labware) application. Extended hours and on-call support may be required but will not be a constant requirement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support all laboratory e-systems enhancements and maintenance
  • The position will support the Site Master Data SME:
    • Gathers documentation for the collection of Master Data using the approved template(s).
    • Consults Site SMEs to provide data and answers to questions.
    • Contributes to organized, standardized, and harmonized master data prior to build and provides verification and User Acceptance Testing of completed master data as needed.
  • In addition, the position may support the Site Deployment team with the following duties:
    • Participation in demos and testing of functionalities and workflows.
    • Execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
    • Hypercare activities.
    • Performing other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
  • System Support:
    • Provides first-line operations support to end users.
    • Provides first-line coordination with Local IT/Tech support and system admins.
    • With guidance, assists with errors and solve problems; performs simple data fixes.
    • Provides expertise in the support of business processes using e-systems.
    • Support site projects and goals where applicable to streamline testing.
  • Master Data Management:
    • With guidance, updates master data objects.
  • Compliance:
    • Performs all activities in compliance to cGMP requirements and applicable standards and procedures.
    • Complies to EHS rules and safe work practices per applicable procedures.
    • Maintains local e-systems related standards and procedures.
    • Supports change controls for e-systems changes.
    • Supports investigations in case of e-systems related deviations.
  • Training:
    • Assists with the implementation and deployment of training material to new users and in case of major upgrade.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.
  • Travel Requirement
    • Travel not expected.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Required Competencies: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    • Knowledge of e-systems applications and procedures.
    • Basic understanding of end-to-end QC processes, laboratory data and instrumentation is a plus.
    • Basic knowledge of cGMP Regulations and how they apply to QC laboratories is a plus.
    • Proficient in using various types of computer software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio).
    • Intermediate English verbal and written communication skills.
    • Customer focused and results driven.
    • Basic time management skills and a good attention to detail.
    • Basic analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work independently with guidance.
    • Ability to work with remote teams.
  • Education and Experience
    • Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred, preferably in scientific field
    • 1-3 years experience preferred
    • An equivalent combination or education and experience may substitute
    • Ability to work with moderate supervisior
