Title: Data Analytics Control Tower Specialist

What will you do?

The Control Tower Specialist will be responsible for extracting, analyzing, categorizing, and archiving key performance measures regarding transportation controls and limits. This position will communicate with the Warehouse, Logistics, and Fleet Management teams to provide necessary and requested reports to help ensure optimal processes. The Control Tower Specialist will maintain prompt, efficient, and accurate data entry to identify improvement areas within the transportation department and report actionable information to the affected teams.

Responsibilities

Extract, analyze, categorize, and archive key performance measures regarding transportation controls and limits. This includes empty trailer needs, loads past pickup appointment time, loads past delivery appointment time, loads past dispatch per warehouse, trips not assigned to a driver, weather, and load position

Partner with Carriers and assist warehouse management teams to ensure on-time loading processes.

Audit and investigate the overdue in-transit load and notify the appropriate departments. Be able to identify controllable vs uncontrollable factors in warehouse and transportation processes. Problem-solving with the appropriate departments to alter the controllable factors to improve affected processes.

Manipulate premade reports to obtain requested data.

Work with Senior Specialists and management teams on departmental goals.

Ability to understand the underlying data recorded and to summarize that data into a concise, consumable, and actionable format

Contribute to problem solves when goals and targets are not being met to discover constraints and roadblocks to ensure future improvement.

Communicate company and departmental issues and goals with various departments.
