About the role
Organon is hiring a Supply Chain Specialist to join our team. As a Supply Chain Specialist, you’ll be responsible for monitoring and ensuring continuous and timely supply to internal and external customers, including monitoring 3PL activities and coordination of related order management.

The Supply Chain specialist maintains and builds relationships with the 3PL, assigned customers, with the relevant supply sites, Demand Fulfilment Team, Global Logistics, Finance and Quality. They act as primary contact for the 3PL; manages their inventory and deliveries and supports new product introductions. This is all done with the objective of reaching maximum customer satisfaction, at consummate cost, ensuring optimal supply chain performance in compliance with established guidelines and procedures.
The role is will also work with KPI’s in regards to 3PL performance and to participate in regular operational 3PL review meetings. The role will also work with Government agencies (customs or any other relevant government party) concerning importation of goods.
Primary activities could include:
Supporting the local demand planning process owner with market intelligence, inventory levels and any other relevant information
Working closely with local demand planner to identify and to analyse significant demand events and developments
Identifying and help resolving (potential) supply issues and ensuring timely deliveries.
Highlight, report and escalate any delays that potentially could lead to an out of stock situation in the market.
Informing customers on significant supply events and developments in the supply chain.
Monitoring inventory levels at 3PL & local inventory reconciliation
Taking pro-active actions to avoid Inventory of Questionable Value (IQV) and discards
Ensure compliance with GDP and internal regulations & procedures
Reviewing and taking action on claims for further processing
Monitor sales order process to ensure orders are received via interface from wholesalers and communicated to OtC department for processing, and assisting in investigating any discrepancies/claims by customers
Participating and contributing to S&OP and leading operational meetings with the assigned customers.
Ensuring efficient and effective communication to internal and external customers and process stakeholders
Generating, analyzing reports, metrics and KPI’s regarding demand, supply, master data and inventory including reporting required to Government or associated agencies
On a monthly basis assist in the review and analysis of the actuals v/s the forecast, and report any major deviations
Good degree in science / or healthcare/ medical subject is essential
Intermediate/additional courses & education in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or other relevant area is preferred
Experience of Supply Chain Management processes and Demand Planning processes essential
Experience of working within pharmaceutical or medical device supply chain preferred
A proactive, entrepreneurial, goal-orientated, and hands-on approach to work
Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders effectively in different locations and across multiple functions
Good verbal and written communication skills is essential
Good knowledge general computer skills (especially MS office including excel) essential, as well as experience in developing or enhancing IT databases
Problem solving, with good numeracy and analytical skills, including attention to detail
Ability to work independently as well as a member of a larger team
