The Capital Accounting and Reporting Manager sustains and improves critical and complex sets of accounting and reporting functions within the Capital (Property and Projects) Accounting portfolio.


  • Support financial reporting deliverables for acquisition related valuation including preparation and review of supporting schedules, computations and models, and validation of assumptions;
  • Coordinate valuation activities with the multiple internal and external stakeholders that provide information into the financial reporting process or require its output;
  • Support team initiatives including quarter and year-end external and management reporting, including associated integration of newly acquired entities;
  • Plan detailed capital accounting and reporting activities on a recurring basis in order to support rapid and accurate execution;
  • Assess and research implications of significant capital and asset related financial transactions;
  • Prepare property related external financial disclosures;
  • Prepare and review financial analysis related to property and project accounting on monthly and quarterly data;
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), Tax or securities regulation, as applicable;
  • Ensure property and project accounting and reporting processes comply with applicable internal control (SOX) requirements;
  • Liaise with Financial Planning to facilitate property related forecast preparation and monitoring;
  • Identify and analyze possible improvements to processes and implement selected solutions;
  • Manage and respond to queries from auditors and internal reviewers.


  • Accounting (CPA) Designation;
  • Strong understanding of Capital Accounting gained through experience working in a similar role;
  • Knowledge of US GAAP requirements, desirable;
  • ERP/SAP expertise (desirable);
  • Application Expertise (desirable): BPC, Excel, Workiva, Blackline;
  • Management and leadership skills including coaching, motivating, communication, team building, implementing change and improvement;
  • Process Management Skills;
  • Possess a strong attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders;
  • Ability to set and meet deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
