Accounts Receivable Specialist


What Will You Do?

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will monitor and oversee multiple retail store market accounts receivables. This position will audit daily posted sales, customer deposits, collections, disputes, and reconciliations to reduce bad debt. This position creates and reviews receivables reports daily with the ability to correct authorized balances as needed.

The Accounts Receivables Specialist will work in conjunction with Corporate Finance, retail stores and customers to resolve customers' disputes and collections of past due accounts. This position will maintain prompt, efficient and accurate data entry to ensure customer issues are solved timely.

  • Complete and update specified reporting according to standard operating procedures.
  • Process fraud claims and ensure necessary documentation is completed and handled properly and within the deadline assigned; collaborate with local law enforcement for investigation as needed.
  • Work to resolve credit card disputes for retail customers, according to standard operating procedures, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Collect on NSF checks as needed.
  • Review all payments to ensure that all payments have been applied to the proper sales orders; make any adjustments as needed.
  • Complete month-end processes for retail according to standard operating procedures.
  • Process and compile supporting and necessary documentation for retail accounts receivable audit selections; complete the process as needed.
  • Review all accounts receivables for assigned enterprise retail stores and provide store personnel with necessary information as appropriate.
  • Review scanned finance paperwork and documentation; advise store personnel of any issues and work in collaboration to resolve.
  • Perform data analysis to determine root cause of issues; make recommendations and changes for adjustments and improvements.

What Do You Need?

  • Associate degree in business or related field or equivalent work experience, Required
  • 6 months credit or finance experience, Required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
