This position is eligible for up to $2,000 in Welcome Bonuses throughout the first year of employment.

Starting salary is between $50,999.65 - $75,502.05 annually, ($25.31 - $37.47/ hour) based on skills and qualifications, with the high end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience. Because work-life-balance is a priority at State Farm, compensation is based on our standard 38:45-hour work week!

Where you'll work:

This is a hybrid position, so you'll work from home at least 75% of the time, and 25% of the time collaboratively in office.

Hours of operation are continually evaluated and may change based on business need. Successful candidates are able and willing to work flexible work shifts and may be asked to work overtime and/or irregular hours.

Responsibilities

When you join our team, you can feel good knowing you are helping our customers recover from the unexpected. Our Claims Specialists are committed to helping our customers through the claims process while providing Remarkable® service. This includes:
  • Investigating, evaluating, negotiating, and settling claims
  • Applying knowledge of policies, and insurance regulations when determining coverage, liability, & damages
  • Contacting customers by telephone, written correspondence and/or various electronic media
  • Effectively managing work through task driven queues while multi-tasking in a fast-paced call center environment
  • Supporting our customers through personalized, caring, and simple interactions

Catastrophes can strike at any time and in any form. Sometimes there is advance notice, other times none.

Some catastrophes impact a small area with high severity, and others may be widespread with less severe impact. Weather & Catastrophe Claims Services (WCCS) Stewardship helps thousands of customers every day recover from a catastrophic weather event and make a difference in their lives. WCCS Stewardship is a customer facing Fire segment with varying work and high rewards. This is a stewardship environment in which team members have the autonomy and authority to manage their own claim inventory.

As a claim specialist, your day may involve gathering information at the onset of the claims process, clarifying details surrounding the claimed loss, explaining the claim process in a manner that is comprehensive yet concise and customer friendly, and setting the expectation with the customer on what to expect and what is expected of them throughout the life-cycle of the claim. You may also move the claim file to resolution post onsite inspection through interactions with customers, contractors, and our field partners to create a personalized, caring, and simple customer experience supporting our commitment to our policyholders.
