THE OPPORTUNITY
- Exciting full-time role based in Kuala Lumpur
- Exciting opportunity to work with a premier global pharmaceutical company to support the development and implementation of market access, policy and partnership
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders and policymakers
- Collaborations with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure successful execution of initiatives
- Play a critical role in shaping the company’s approach to market access, policy and partnership strategies, and ultimately, making a significant impact on the health and well-being of our Malaysian patients
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Market Access, Reimbursement and Policy Support
- Monitor and evaluate developments (including MOH Medicines Formulary) within government healthcare policies and regulations that may have business impacts both in the short and long term
- Providing support to the development of market access and policy strategies that add value to our business while ensuring that these strategies align with the overall business objectives
- Work closely with the MAPC Lead to advance the company’s market access strategies in the public sector which includes collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders, preparation of reimbursement dossiers for new and existing molecules, as well as exploring opportunities for strategic partnerships with key stakeholders
- Support market access and policy related projects from concept to implementation
- Assist in developing and maintaining project plans, timelines, and budgets to ensure successful execution of initiatives, and provide regular updates on the progress of initiatives to internal stakeholders
- Participate in cross-functional teams to support product launch activities and ongoing product support, and provide market access and policy insights to enhance commercialization strategies
Stakeholders Management
- Develop and maintain relationships with a network of stakeholders, such as policymakers, payers, healthcare professionals and advocacy groups, to positively influence the outcome of drug reimbursement and healthcare policies in Malaysia
- Assist in gathering insights on market access and policy landscape in Malaysia by identifying and engaging with key stakeholders
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for engagement with external stakeholders and to support advocacy efforts
Communications
- Support the development and execution of advocacy and communication plans
- Support media relations efforts including pitching stories to journalists, monitoring media coverage and developing press releases (with approved PR agency)
- Monitor industry trends and developments to identify opportunities for the company to enhance its communications efforts and elevate its visibility
- Assist in identifying and support opportunities for the company to participate in key industry events, conferences and speaking engagements
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field such as Public Policy, Political Science, Life Sciences-related field, Mass Communications, Business Administration or Marketing
- 2-3 years of experience in Pharmaceutical or related field such as healthcare consulting, public policy or government relations
- Candidates with knowledge of healthcare policy and reimbursement landscape or prior work experience in government ministry, established network with government institutions and advocacy organizations will be considered as a plus
- Good interpersonal, communication and relationship skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Attention to detail with the ability to manage projects simultaneously and deliver on time
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suites including PowerPoint, Word and Excel
