Specialist, Regional Demand Fulfillment
Job Description
As a member of the U.S. Supply Chain Operations organization, the Specialist in Demand Planning/Demand Fulfillment is responsible to ensure reliable supply of U.S. Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Products to the U.S. Market. The individual will facilitate the integrated Business planning process for their assigned therapeutic area(s)/franchise to enhance customer satisfaction and ensure planning data is updated and accurate. The Specialist acts as primary planning contact and customer advocate for their franchise teams. Our Supply Chain Operations team ensures inventory is consistently available to meet customer demand and partners across the Marketing, Finance and Manufacturing organizations to build a robust demand and supply plan to ensure we get products to the right customer, at the correct place and requested time.
Primary Responsibilities:
Collaborate with marketing and finance to review demand forecasts, historical sales trends and understand demand drivers to deliver a consensus demand on a monthly basis.
Review and analyze demand forecasts provided by Alliance and Authorized Generic partners (where applicable).
Monitor supply plans through exception management to exceed customer service levels while maintaining inventory targets and adhering to planning parameters.
Manage resolution and communication of demand/supply imbalances through close collaboration with manufacturing, quality, regulatory, distribution, logistics, marketing and finance.
Maintain demand and supply planning systems with a focus on data accuracy.
Support the demand aspects for product launches, new product introduction/deletion, phase-in phase out due to supply source changes and other related initiatives.
Monitor of targets and drive performance improvement for Forecast Error (Lag 2 bias; R3M error, IRL, etc.).
Participate in Market /Brand S&OP.
Ensure continuous improvement and drives changes in order to support an evolving corporation and initiates change in regards to assigned products.
Engage in a continuous improvement mindset with peers and team leaders by identifying and supporting business processes improvement initiatives.
Create a 36-month forecast plan for the Market in coordination with the Center of Excellence (CoE) for statistical SKUs.
Collect business intelligence from Market stakeholders in the 36-month timeframe.
Identify gaps between financial plans and demand plans and resolve, where needed.
Education Minimum Requirements:
Must have completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in one of the following: Business, Supply Chain / Logistics, Bio engineering, Engineering / Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering or any related Business or Engineering field.
Required Experience and Skills:
1 to 3 years of Supply Chain, Logistics, or Relevant Manufacturing Experience.
Proficient use of MS Office, particularly Excel.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Capability to work well in a cross-cultural and cross-functional business setting.
Flexibility and ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
1 to 2 years Supply chain operations experience in pharmaceutical environment.
SAP experience S4 Hana or ECC.
APICS CPIM or CSCP and/or Six Sigma certification is an advantage.
Manufacturing / Operations experience.
Experience with Kinaxis Rapid Response.
