Your Role and Responsibilities
The successful applicant will help ensure effective operations of the 300mm research line at our Albany NY facility dedicated to semiconductor research and development. The role will include working with a team of equipment engineering technicians and engineers with the responsibility of troubleshooting and repair of medium of complex semiconductor process equipment and facilities support equipment. Along with daily tactical management of fab operational goals. Strong equipment maintenance and troubleshooting skills and knowledge, with the ability to work in cross functional teams is required. Applicants must be willing to complete various safety training courses along with extensive on the job training working with senior site engineers and vendors.
This role provides the opportunity to join a world class team responsible for defining and delivering future nodes using a state-of-the-art research lab. The team is responsible for helping drive fast learning cycles and increasing the capacity of the 300mm research line. Ability to work with cross functional teams and strong communication skills is required.


Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• At least 3 years of experience applying equipment engineering / maintenance concepts in a manufacturing or research environment.
• At least 3 years of experience working in a collaborative environment across multiple engineering disciplines.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical / Electrical / Chemical Engineering, or other engineering fields with focus on project management.
• Strong MS Office Skills - Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
• Must have working knowledge of multiple disciplines of fab tooling and building supports systems, and fab architecture.
• Must have the ability to communicate electronically and verbally to suppliers, vendors, contractors ( trades) and other tenants.
• Must have very strong skills in electrical, mechanical, chemical, HVAC, building controls and UHP gas designs.
• Strong troubleshooting skills on semiconductor process equipment.
• Solid understanding of advanced semiconductor materials processing and MES systems.
• Must have a very sound working knowledge of NYS building codes and National Electric Codes.

The compensation range and benefits for this position are based on a full-time schedule for a full calendar year. The salary will vary depending on your job-related skills, experience and location. Pay increment and frequency of pay will be in accordance with employment classification and applicable laws. For part time roles, your compensation and benefits will be adjusted to reflect your hours. Benefits may be pro-rated for those who start working during the calendar year.
