Our business helps support their way of life and contributes to the survival of a culture that has thrived in a challenging environment.**Job Summary:**Perform skilled tasks in the mechanical repair and maintenance of construction equipment, material handling equipment, heavy and light duty trucks, fire equipment, power generating equipment and other related equipment.**Responsibilities:**+ Troubleshoot, repair, modify and maintain heavy mobile equipment, such as: construction, industrial, combat, tactical, and powered support equipment. Equipment may include bulldozers, tractors, trucks, tracked vehicles, generators and forklifts+ Remove and replace major systems or components of equipment to include power packs, transmissions, transfers, gear reduction units, injector pumps, air conditioners, fuel pumps and alternators etc.+ Make idle speed, current, brake, and transmission linkage adjustments+ Perform initial and in-process inspections; perform mechanical diagnostics and troubleshoot to localize defects and determine cause of malfunction; perform mechanical maintenance on defective parts; and perform minor body work+ Provide technical assistance to government LRC personnel as well as other equipment repairers+ Operate motor vehicles to perform the duties of this position+ Perform repairs on various types of equipment+ Replace components when needed+ Perform preventive maintenance on vehicles+ Complete body work+ Inspect and troubleshoot equipment**Qualifications****Minimum Qualifications:**+ Must have a current/valid CDL Class A License: able to pass periodic physical examinations as required by the U.S. Department of Transportation+ Experience and/or educational background related to mechanics, electronics, or hydraulic systems+ Related experience: truck-mounted hydraulic utility equipment such as aerial devices, digger derricks, chippers, cranes, specialty equipment; construction, mining, or farm equipment such as dozers or tractors; military heavy equipment such as the MRAP vehicle, HMEE, or tanks; aircraft and aerospace or ground support equipment (AGE/GSE) repair+ Able to develop the computer skills necessary to complete support duties+ Physical effort is required to move objects and service-related tools that may weigh up to 75 pounds; frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling are required to service and repair equipment+ Must have a manual-hand-finger dexterity+ Must have eye-hand-foot coordination+ Must be able to work in internal/external environments that may be in harsh weather condition.+ Ability to read, write, and communicate in English+ High School Diploma or GED+ Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and measuring devices+ **Must be US Citizen to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check (NAC) to obtain a CAC.**+ **Must receive a favorable background check and drug testing results.**Desired Qualifications:The duties and responsibilities listed in this job description generally cover the nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position.
