**Warehouse Specialist****Description** Verifies alldocumentation of receipt, issue, andshipment etc. and ensures the appropriateand proper distribution of thematerial/equipment and documentation. Verifies discrepancies and damagesare properly documented andreported. Receive, stock, store, pack and stack,palletize, shelve, issue, ship and label all materials and equipment in accordance with prescribed storage,shipment, and issue methods, government regulations, policies and procedures. Protect all items fromdamage or loss. Ensure onlyauthorizedpersonnel enter the warehouse andescort all personnelfor safety and security reasons. Loads and unloads trucks and other warehousingtasks. Reviews workorders, shippingorders, and requisitionstoverifycorrect movement and distribution of items. Inspectsfor damages,shortages,wrong itemsand other concerns; notifiesappropriate person orvendor. Validatesaccuracy of material checkedagainstfreight billsandmanifests, etc. Spot checks avariety ofmaterials onshelves, bins andvarious other locationsutilizing a warehouse locatorfile. Verifythe proper storage ofperishable goods in refrigerated rooms. Communicates effectively with units/organizations to coordinate deliveriesand pick-ups, and resolve questionsand issues. Usestechnical publications to identify material. Determines condition of non-mechanical material. Reviews inventory results, performs corrective actions, and records findings.Operates avariety ofmaterial handling equipment,MHE; performs basic maintenance onMHEas required Responsiblefor enforcingall safety, security andmaintenanceprograms and practices within storageareas. Maintains the warehousing areasand grounds in a clean, safeand orderly manner. Assess warehouse needs and order supplies asappropriate. Responsiblefor conformingto all safe workpracticesand procedures including exercising StopWork initiatives. Performs other duties assigned.**Qualifications****Minimum Qualifications:** Twoyearsmilitary or civilian experience in supply and warehouse management, experience withGCSS-A platform preferred. Must haveor be ableto obtain licenses/certificationsas neededtoperform duties. Must have a valid and current state drivers license. Must be ableto completepaperwork associated with the positionas required. Excellentwritten communications skills.Must possess working knowledge of Logistics information system (LIS) and SoftwareApplicationPrograms (SAP). Ability to work in ateamenvironment. Must be a US Citizenor Permanent Legal Resident. Security Clearance: Must be US Citizen to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check (NAC) to obtain a CAC.
