It does this by proposing, implementing and maintaining the testing environment, with the objective of increasing the coverage of automated tests and minimizing manual testing. The test specialist participates in the definition of needs and solutions, by sharing his expertise to ensure the testability of deliverables and the maintainability of test infrastructures. He is part of the development team, and therefore works closely with developers, product managers (technical and marketing) and other members of the software group. The new hire will participate in sprint planning exercises, daily Scrum meetings, and end-of-sprint reviews and retros.The new hire will be exposed to different aspects and technologies of our substation automation products, and will therefore quickly become a reference in the energy domain and the use cases of our products from our customers standpoint. QualificationsRequired (Basic) Qualifications:+ College degree (DEC) in computer science or related field+ 2 years of experience with Microsoft Windows and Windows based software applications+ Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without company sponsorshipPreferred qualifications:+ Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Computer Science or related discipline+ 1 year experience in software development or testing+ ISTQB Certification+ Experience in system testing, black-box, integration, exploratory, performance, load and regression testing+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French+ Experience developing test plans, test cases and test procedures to include test scenarios+ Experience with basic networking, Serial/ TCP/UDP+ Experience with automated test tools such as Microsoft Test Manager, Smart Bear, CPP unit, JBehave or Cucumber and automated test patternsPosition Criteria:+ Able to communicate with diverse teams locally and internationally+ Great team worker with social abilities+ High work ethic and results-oriented;+ Meticulous, reliable and sense of responsibility;+ Good communication skills;+ Ability to thrive in a rapidly changing environmentWe are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
