Cloud Virtualization Developer/Specialist -Modernization to OpenShift

Our Cloud Virtualization Developer/Specialist are responsible for keeping up with these latest and greatest of these changes and using their expertise to deliver solutions that meet the needs of our customers and products.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesAs the Virtualization Squad Developer, you will be responsible for developing application development solutions for VMs and containerized applications both side by side leveraging common Kubernetes-native tools and methodologies. The successful candidate will have hands-on development experience with Containers, Kubernetes, VMs and virtualization technologies on OpenShift platform and infrastructure.Role Summary description:+ Define, Design, Test and Execute Development practices in Virtualized environment on OpenShift+ Perform migrating applications , CI/CD, IaC etc. from VMWare and other Virtualized environments to OpenShift container platform leveraging Kubernetes-native principles+ Analyze virtualized environments and develop innovative solutions to migrate and modernize for Redhat OpenShift.+ SME on Containers, Kubernetes and Virtualization technologies using OpenShift, VMWare, OpenStack, RHV, CloudVM and VM infrastructure modernization.+ Develop asset and tools that facilitate migrating VMWare and Virtualized environments to cloud platformsRequired Technical and Professional Expertise+ 7+ years of industry experience as an Virtualization Specialist, with 3+ years in VMware implementation and hybrid cloud+ Hands-on experience with VMware Tanzu, OpenStack, RHV, CloudVM or VM infrastructure modernization+ Experience in application Integration, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, service mesh, cloud infrastructure, network, security and operation architecture+ Deep hands-on experience in containerization of applications leveraging Kubernetes/OpenShift+ Deep hands-on experience DevSecOps+ Helm and Operator Framework experience+ DevSecOps and GitOps (Cloud native Jenkins/Jenkins X, Argo CD, Tekton, etc.)Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise+ Team player and team leadership experience+ Excellent verbal and communication skills+ Istio / OpenShift Service Mesh+ Hands on experience with the below:+ Kiali, Prometheus, ArgoCD, Grafana, Jaegar, Nginx, Gradle, Struts+ OAuth2 / OpenID Connect, SAML, SSL / TLS, Liquid, Flyway, EDB PostgreSQL- NoneAbout Business UnitIBM Services is a team of business, strategy and technology consultants that design, build, and run foundational systems and services that is the backbone of the world's economy.
