They've gained 5+ years' experience in current-state traditional application workload Top-Tier infrastructure technologies as such as IBM Mainframe, Unix/Linux, VM and App virtualization, Web, JNode, MS Windows and future-state cloud application workload Top-Tier technologies such as containers (docker), Container management (Kubernetes, Openshift, IBM Kubernetes Services), Cloud VMware, Cloud JNode, Scripting (Teraforms/python) and the IBM, Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud Native tools and services that support workload migration, infrastructure services performance and capacity tuning and for devops methodologies. The future cloud infrastructure that you will be designing and implementing will only be successful with the added robustness of Network connects/connections, access AD/LDAP/SSO, Storage, cybersecurity and resiliency components.In addition to your technology role, you can lead and perform hands-on technical build, migration, and technical designs for projects to achieve client's transformations and to help rescue clients from blocked or difficult projects; translating client requirements, understanding client's circumstances, and executing project services to support the design and implementation of application infrastructure cloud and datacenter solutions. You will use assets and reference architectures, build proof-of concepts, build and execute implementation plans, testing plans and deployment plans to address client requirements and work with products or solutions based on partner hardware and/or partner software to incorporate and integrate application transformation and migration solutions.**NOTE: Location is flexible e.g. anywhere in Canada**Responsibilities:+ Review and validate the BOM, assess client's requirements, and product's specifications/features.+ Create the required artifacts (design document, diagrams, build book, etc..)+ Provide strategic Cloud infrastructure advice and review of our customer's legacy workload infrastructures+ Design and implement future state cloud infrastructures including integration, high availability and security to support the solutions+ Work closely with various teams to gather business and technical requirements.+ Perform and Balance tasks on multiple concurrent projects across multiple customers+ Accountable for successful delivery of highly complex, multi-disciplined consulting engagements that deliver lasting and measurable value to clients+ Develop a point of view, capture, prioritize and analyze technical (functional and non-functional) requirements+ Possess strong leadership skills and further the evolution of intellectual capital assets and developing architectural resources+ Manage the technical architectural contract terms and conditions+ Educate, mentor and coach teams in applying architectural techniques+ Facilitate and capture lessons learned from projects to update methodologies and assets+ Conduct architectural lunch and learns to disseminate knowledge+ Be a recognized as a technical though leader inside and outside of IBM+ Support company initiatives for offerings, contracts, technologies, and go-to-market+ Set priorities to build technical architectural and project assets/deliverables for repurposingOutcomes:+ Translate the pre-existing application migration assessment blueprints, the cloud infrastructure assessment blueprints and client's policies and standards to create the future state cloud infrastructure low level design. Specifically, to consider the security, compliance, resiliency, capacity, performance and services technical aspects of the infrastructure technical functional and non-functional requirements+ Implement in a 'hands-on' approach the low-level infrastructure design to provision the future state cloud infrastructure that meets the functional and production success criteria+ Perform IBM's and Clients cloud infrastructure testing according to standards and guidelines. Resolve any findings+ Document, enable and provide cloud infrastructure information and access to the application development team to enable them in transforming the clients targeted applications+ Satisfy the criteria to graduate the project from implementation phase to production phase.
