Whether the testing is manual, automated, or cognitive, you hold a key role in releasing the best deliverables to IBM'ers and our clients.Your Role and Responsibilities :IBM is seeking an enthusiastic QA Tester/ Testing Specialist to join a DevOps squad in the Finance Systems Organization which manages IBM's Royalty Management Applications. Top candidates should demonstrate the following key characteristics for success: creativity, intellectual curiosity, passion for helping others, problem solving, appreciation for professionalism and excellence in execution.Responsibilities include analyzing business needs, working with IT professionals to translate business requirements into IT solutions, and testing to validate the quality of these solutions.Testing includes:1. Work with the development team and other test engineers testing the User Interface (UI) for Royalty Management Systems HUB.2. Designing, building, testing and deploying complex testing solutions.3. Responsible for applying automated tools to support application testing.4. Writing SQL queries to meet back-end database testing goals.5. Contributing to the development of the test strategy focusing on regression.6. Document test issues and communicate back to the development team to help tackle and resolve issues to ensure quality standards and controls compliance.7. Participate in Scrum meetings with the development team, architects, analysts and Scrum master and provide up-to-date testing feedback.8. Write User Interface (UI) based automation to ensure scalable test coverage as product functionality increases.9. Collaborate with Product Owner and end users to improve the testing and User Acceptance Test (UAT) process.10. Provide expertise in development and testing support for technical solutions for the IBM Financial System organization.In addition, you will work with other analysts and assist in other areas such as: coordination of dependencies, management of test schedules, and ensuring quality standards and controls compliance.What you'll do:Develop and maintain a strong-working relationship with business and technical members of the team.Relentless focus on quality and continuous improvement.Perform root cause analysis of technical issues.Using Agile Practices and IBM Design Thinking to drive customer success is a key component of how we work.
