Job Summary

Position Description:

Amentum is currently searching for a Summer Intern Record Specialist to support the HR Department in our Aiken, SC location.

Under direct supervision, this position will be responsible for the set-up, filing and maintenance of employee personnel files and records and HR duties.

Essential Responsibilities:

1) Performs filing of employee-related paperwork in accordance with established company standards and procedures.

2) Provides support for requests on employee files and records both internal and external.

3) Prepare new hire packages and make copies of new hire forms as needed.

4) Perform annual inventory of active personnel files.

5) Sets up and maintain a destruction file for I-9 forms.

6) Sets up new hire personnel files and prepares termination files for storage

7) Assists in special projects as needed.

8) Assist HR Rep with Amentum Intern Program

9)Arrange and schedule meetings as needed

Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.


Minimum Requirements

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

High school diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years of job-related experience or equivalent. Requires some knowledge of computer operating software programs. Position may require the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 20 pounds, constant sitting while using the computer terminal, constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents, constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, must posses planning/organizing skills, and must be able to work under deadlines.
