Deloitte Consulting LLP seeks a Senior Solutions Specialist, Deloitte Platforms, Solutions Network in Lake Mary, FL and various unanticipated Deloitte office locations and client sites nationally.

Work You'll Do

Developing and supporting IP (Intellectual Property) offerings (both external offerings and the organizations that develop and support them). Developing and supporting solutions for client-serving teams. Leading modules and work threads for implementation projects. Providing weekly status reports, managing decisions, issues and action items for work threads. Driving knowledge transfer and change management activities, to help clients adopt new technologies. Directing large technology engagements and participating in projects including ideation, identification, planning and cost estimation through requirements, design, development, testing, implementation and production. Performing assessments of existing information systems and identifying gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities. Estimating time and resources needed for the development work. Functioning as integrator between business needs and technology solutions and helping to create technology solutions to meet clients' business needs. Defining systems strategy, developing system requirements, processing design, prototyping, testing custom technology solutions, and supporting system implementation. Creating test cases and performing functional, non-functional, system integration, black-box, white-box, and end-to-end testing of software applications. Creating project charters, schedules, and plans, defining project tasks, allocating resources and monitoring project progress. Researching user reported issues, identifying root causes and resolutions, implementing fixes, and liaising between business functions, end users, and technical delivery teams. Creating technical and functional specifications, including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, process models, and pseudo code, to be used for application development.

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Business Administration, any STEM degree or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the offered position or a position in a related occupation. Must also have two (2) years of related work experience involving each of the following:
  • Architecting and designing comprehensive solutions with scalability, integrity and high availability using Azure, AWS (Amazon Web Services) Cloud, Cisco UCS (Unified Computing System), VMware vSphere, Converged Infrastructure, Vblock, and VxBlock;
  • Analyzing and documenting current-state systems, processes and environments to support project design of future-state and to-be systems, processes and environments using Advanced Excel and SharePoint, and following ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) incident and change management processes using Remedy ITSM (IT Service Management) and Jira;
  • Reviewing operational requirements and deploying Windows and Linux Virtual Machine (VM) Servers, Configure Clustering, Network Load Balancing and Internet Information Services (IIS) to host and configure applications;
  • Implementing backup solutions and coordinating with backup vendors to install and configure backup agents including Commvault and IBM Tivoli Storage Manager (TSM), and develop storage solutions using Dell VNX, Unity and Avamar;
  • Providing hands-on AWS or Azure cloud and infrastructure system administration and troubleshooting support, and providing solutions to performance issues in Windows and vSphere;
  • Designing virtualized solutions with High Availability (HA) and Load Balancing techniques using VMware vSphere HA and DRS (Distributed Resource Scheduler), implementing security controls to protect infrastructure using Firewall and SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocols, and implementing safety measures using McAfee and Trend Micro; and
  • Monitoring server performance and services using Nimsoft, Spectrum and Splunk, and providing system administration and end-user support by applying patches to Windows or Linux servers using Windows Server Update Services (WSUS), Shavlik and Satellite tools.
