KEY OBJECTIVES

The Premium Audit Specialist within the PEO Center is accountable for the quality and timeliness of the premium audit service and oversight provided to their assigned accounts. The key objective is to make a positive contribution to business unit goals by ensuring that premium audits and associated data are technically accurate and are performed in compliance with manual rules, Chubb Corporate Policies and Procedures, regulatory requirements and sound Premium Audit Practices and Principles.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide branch and program support, with functions to possibly include new client/business calls, telephone audits, audit dispute resolution, coordination and/or performance of multiple location audits, as well as claims review as part of the premium audit process. Keep Premium Audit Manager & PEO Manager apprised of audit progress, trends, and issues.

Ensure that premium audits are completed in a timely manner, and are technically accurate through oversight, monitoring, and on-going evaluation of PEO controls, processes, and reports, as well as consistent review and analysis of client company data, MGA partners’ processing, and potential outside audit vendor work. Accuracy is defined by Chubb WC standards, PEO Center Practices, bureau requirements and standard Premium Audit Practices and Principles.

Develop and maintain close working relationships with the PEO accounts, and MGA partners to ensure accurate information is received and quality standards are being met.

Using existing monitoring procedures and controls in place, evaluate PEO provided client information integrity, classification use for accuracy, as well as potential "Underwriter Referral Exceptions,” and proper use, in addition to review of potential outside vendors’ premium audit data.

Thorougly review, analyze and prepare year-end program data reports, working closely with MGA partners to ensure accurate and timely audit processing of WC policies.

Provide Premium Audit technical support as a subject matter expert in areas such as classification use, payroll exclusions, procedures, manual rules, etc., to Underwriting, PEO accounts contacts, client companies, MGA partners, and potential outside audit vendors.

Ensure that all Bureau Test Audit standards in those states, where applicable, are met or exceeded. Determine actions required of Chubb and vendors and ensure that standards are met.

Contribute depth to the organization by participating in personal growth opportunities and continual learning. Expand job knowledge and skills through the pursuit of educational opportunities.

Maintain active memberships in professional organization (Auditors Associates, etc.). Request and participate in Premium Audit training programs.

Participate in, and contribute to on-going premium audit training to underwriters and other premium audit staff to help improve their understanding of Premium audit Practices and Principles as they relate to their job functions.
