Lead Specialist, Risk (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion)

Work you'll do

In this role, you will serve as the National Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Risk Lead, a critical connection point between the National DEI team, National Risk team, various business functions, Inclusion Councils, and other stakeholders.

  • Process DEI Risk requests, provide initial Risk review from a DEI perspective and identify correct path for review
  • Coordinate with the correct stakeholders (e.g., National DEI leadership team, National Risk, OGC, Policy & Government Relations)
  • Measure and track requests, drive to completion and escalate when needed
  • Coordinate and drive various contracts and agreements with Talent Services and/or OGC
  • Understand the National DEI strategy, priorities, and emerging trends to help the different business areas connect their DEI efforts to the broader vision
  • Potential to manage temporary staff members to mitigate high-volume times of year

The individual selected for this assignment must be passionate and enthusiastic about DEI and its mission, and must be able to build strong relationships, collaborate, and elevate issues to the appropriate levels. Individual must have leadership and executive presence and the ability to assess talent, influence and persuade clients at all levels.

The team

Under the direction of the Chief DEI Officer, the National DEI office develops and drives the firm's national DEI strategy. This role will report directly to the Chief DEI Officer and National Risk Advisor.

Qualifications
  • Highly motivated individual with minimum of 5 years of Risk Management or related experience
  • Undergraduate or equivalent degree
  • Experience in Brand and Risk Protection
  • Excellent Microsoft Suite skills

Preferred:
  • Knowledge and previous work experience in the DEI space
  • Knowledge of basic contracts
  • Ability to exercise excellent business judgement and make risk-based decisions
  • Ability to communicate effectively with leadership with strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills in a virtual environment
  • Ability to work autonomously and effectively in a fast-paced, complex, multi-tasking virtual environment
  • Demonstrated project management experience: organization, managing details, keeping multiple tasks and projects on track
  • Proven experience effectively prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and work objectives
