Responsibilities

As an Agile/Scrum Master, you will be responsible to guide cross functional teams to deliver innovative products at market speed using Agile/Scrum principles. Must be able to coach teams and facilitate scrum ceremonies such as PI planning, sprint planning, daily scrums, sprint demo, sprint review and retrospectives. Ideal candidate must be able to build self-organized, self-governed, sustainable, high performing teams that strive to deliver continuously, look for continuous improvement opportunities and produce highest quality product that delights the customer. The Scrum master should have demonstrated ability to communicate and articulate clearly and to all levels of the organization.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of relevant consulting or industry experience using Agile delivery methodology
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile and Scrum with proven experience coaching, mentoring, and teaching junior Agile practitioners
  • Experience communicating with leadership (lead through influence)
  • Experience participating in and facilitating discussions to discover solutions, capturing, and transforming business and technology requirements into high-quality User Stories and Acceptance criteria
  • Must be proficient with Agile Lifecycle Management tools (e.g., Jira, Rally, VersionOne, etc.) as well as with Internet research tools, presentation tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), etc.
  • Facilitates Daily scrum, Sprint Planning, Sprint Demo and Sprint Retro meetings
  • Coaches the team on Agile principle and processes
  • Facilitates grooming sessions with product owner, to build product backlog.
  • Facilitates and plans Go-Live activities
  • Tracks and report Scrum team velocity
  • Scrum Master Certification (CSM, PSM, SSM, Scrum Coach Certification Kanban, Lean, Scrum-Kanban, Rally, SAFe)
  • Travel up to 20% annually (while 20% travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.)

Preferred

• Agile Certification (PMI ACP)

• Product Owner certification (PSPO, CSPO)

• Experience with Extreme Programming (XP), TDD/BDD, CI/CD is a plus

• Exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with demonstrated experience exercising mature judgment in delicate situations

• Should have small team leadership experience with the ability to earn trust while still challenging the team to improve and operate outside its comfort zone in an Agile environment

• Experience implementing best practices and standards related to Agile scrum development & testing practices

• Demonstrated ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience

• Experience managing work planning, monitoring, and reporting

• Experience managing requirements processes including conducting interviews and documenting requirements

• Experience with industry standard System Development Life Cycle methodologies

• An advanced degree in an area of specialization is a plus
