Job Summary

Come join the Amentum team that’s helping build and sustain America’s US Navy submarines! Work in/near the Washington Navy Yard in Washington DC to support in-service submarine configuration management programs. Position activities include:

  • Provide technical configuration management (CM) support and guidance
  • Ensure the integrity and consistency of CM Change Control Boards (CCBs)
  • Review configuration management reports, change requests, draft procedures, and policies
  • Provide CCB meeting support by preparing agendas, minutes, notifications, and information packages, and tracking action and decision items
  • Maintain status accounting records
  • Conduct special investigations to include periodic reports from the CM database
  • Provide summary impact statements as required
  • Receive, edit, and distribute reports to/from multiple organizations
  • Participate in Integrated Logistics Support Management Team (ILSMT) meetings, sustainment planning, configuration, and risk management work groups
  • Collaborate with partner Navy program offices, refit facilities, shipyards, and warfare centers to support configuration management efforts for multiple submarine classes
  • Integrate with key stakeholders including Navy system owners, technical authorities, shipyards, and contractors

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, engineering, or related field and 5+ years relevant configuration management experience including data entry and report generation
  • Working knowledge of MS-Office and integrated software applications
  • Organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are required
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must be eligible to receive and maintain an active secret clearance prior to start
  • Ability to communicate in English clearly and professionally in verbal and written form

Preferred Qualifications

  • Navy or Coast Guard CM experience is preferred
  • Experience using formal configuration management software
