What you will do:

Partners with executive management, Public Relations, Human Resources and other departments to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate strategic internal communications. Designs, edits and oversees distribution of internal communication materials via company newsletters, intranet, emails/memos, webcasts, employee meetings, etc. Develops standards and guidelines for style and content. Evaluates fit with target audience to ensure comprehension. Implements metrics to evaluate effectiveness of communication plan delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Creates and executes creative concepts for interactive media, videos, web and podcasts, etc.
  • Use current technology to produce video and audio communications.
  • Help develop and evolve Instruments Division’s communication strategy and capability by expanding video and audio offerings.
  • Work with internal customers to determine required media needs and content, development of content and materials, and delivery of materials to appropriate audiences.
  • Function as division hub for video creation while coordinating directly with information experts (internal customers; product development, leadership, etc.)
  • Collaborate with team members to provide support to business in scoping video projects and identifying appropriate process and resources for execution.
  • Work with appropriate stakeholders to gain approval of materials.
  • May work with vendors such as designers, photographers and external video resources on the development and production of materials.

What you need:

  • Knowledge of sound design and capture of creative, elegant b-roll and documentary style footage desirable.
  • Familiarity with professional cameras, various HD and SD formats, as well as photography/video lighting.
  • Mastery of editing software such as Final Cut Pro X, Adobe After Effects or Adobe Premiere Pro.
  • Ability to visualize and shoot concepts effectively.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and meet aggressive deadlines.
  • Ability to script, storyboard, set deadlines and select optimal forms of media for projects.
  • Comfortable coaching on-camera talent.
  • Creative thinker and problem-solver, bringing new ideas and identifying opportunities for improvement within the production process.
  • Ability to edit artwork and photography for use in various formats is a plus.
  • Ability to think creatively and develop compelling visual displays and materials that align with communication strategies and company brand.
  • Bachelor’s degree in film, video, media studies or related field, and/or 2+ years related experience required.
