Job Summary

The Supply Technician performs a variety of technical supply management work which includes inventory control, storage management, distribution, cataloging, supply identification systems, property utilization, accounting and supply reports using assigned management information system and other related activities as required by contract.

Principal Accountabilities

  • Enter data into multiple databases, conduct extensive searches for information pertaining to complex and/or unusual supply transactions and patterns.
  • Compiles stock control records and information as required.
  • Assist hand receipt holders in preparing lost/damaged statements for lost, destroyed or damaged property and discuss problems with hand receipt holders for clarification and settlements of discrepancies.
  • Execute procedures for receipt, storage, issue and document control of accountable supplies and equipment.
  • Receive, inspect, process, store, issue, turn-in and exercise control over incoming supplies at the warehouse.
  • Update databases, retrieve data and use data to respond to a variety of customers.
  • Ship parts to and from vendors, to and from main operating bases.
  • Participate in inventories. Investigate and reconcile discrepancies and reports.
  • Perform other qualified duties as assigned.
  • Work typically in semi-office, hanger, and/or open surroundings
  • May be required to work in areas where high noise hazards prevail and are exposed to fumes or airborne particles and electrical shock hazards.
  • Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable
  • Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions

Minimum Requirements

  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Three (3) or more years’ hands-on material coordinator, material expediter, or supply technician experience.
  • Completion of a military supply technician school preferred.
  • Certification in hazardous material handling and shipping preferred.
  • Experience with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and EAR (Export Administration Regulations) preferred.
  • IATA Dangerous Goods Training preferred
  • Must be a US Citizen

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school degree or equivalent.
  • Three (3) or more years’ hands-on material coordinator, material expediter, or supply technician experience.
  • Completion of a military supply technician school preferred.
  • Certification in hazardous material handling and shipping preferred.
  • Experience with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) and EAR (Export Administration Regulations) preferred.
  • IATA Dangerous Goods Training preferred
  • Working knowledge of the governing supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines.
  • Possess an understanding of the needs of the organization serviced.
  • Possess analytical ability to define or recognize the dimension of the problems involved, to collect the necessary data to establish the facts, and take or recommend action based upon application or interpretation of established guidelines
