Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a Junior Desktop Support Specialist in San Francisco, CA.

You will assist in the installation, maintenance, and general support of desktops, laptops, printers, Servers, Scanners and Cell Phones. Provide user support on assigned open tickets and work in collaboration with the IT Support Team. Resolve customer technical issues in a timely fashion to maintain customer satisfaction. Install, troubleshoot, and maintain an extensive variety of products and equipment. Identify, analyze, and repair product failures, order and replace parts as needed. Provide On-Site and Remote support for the user community in an Enterprise environment. Travel to remote sites as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide on-site support for deployment and security remediation functions
  • Provide desktop, application, and network application incident resolution
  • Manage user installation and relocations requests
  • Asset Inventory Support
  • Conduct physical inventory of assets
  • Ensure every device is wiped/degaussed prior to site removal
  • Encryption Services
  • Ensure laptops are properly encrypted
  • Troubleshoot system problems and repairs
  • Work with support staff for remote troubleshooting and repairs
  • Restart wiring closet cabling electronics including switches or other network devices
  • Wireless Services
  • Assist users with mobile communication devices (iPhones, and laptops) with incident support tickets
  • Provide remote support in the field which includes hardware troubleshooting
  • Ensure IT services are rendered/tested for telework users using VPN and CITRIX services
  • Provide remote support services for telework/home users
  • Hardware Incident Resolution
  • Identify and resolve hardware incidents and service requests of a consumable part

Minimum Requirements

  • Associates degree (or equivalent) and at least 1 year of relevant experience
  • This position may require up to 30% travel
  • Must be US Citizen
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a NACI / T1 prior to start date

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experienced with Service Now Ticketing System, Bomgar Remote Support, and MS SCCM for workstations software installation, MS Office 365
  • CompTIA A+ and Network+ certification
