What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for the configuration, troubleshooting and maintenance of electronic communication systems, including but not limited to professional audio systems, video display systems and Video-Conferencing solutions such as MS Surface Hubs, MS HoloLens 2, SkillAssist, and iSuite owned by NV

  • Partner with IT teams to setup AV equipment at internal and remote sites, which may include HCP sites either in person or remote

  • Tests and document performance of AV systems

  • Troubleshoots and repairs audio visual components

  • Trains and instructs the NV Team on the proper use of AV equipment, setup and installation

  • Responsible for reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints required to support AV installation, reconfiguration, troubleshooting and repair of equipment

  • Assists with preventive maintenance and upgrades of AV systems and its components (both hardware and software)

  • The AV Specialist will partner with IT to facilitate events in numerous building venues requiring flexibility in their daily and weekly schedule. This will include both indoor and outdoor events

What You Will Need

  • 4+ years' experience within the audio-visual industry; post-secondary education may be substituted for some experience

  • An associate degree required, as an electronic technician would be a plus

  • 4 Year College Degree Preferred

  • CTS and/or any other AV Industry certifications highly desired

  • IP or other wireless network certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Network+, CWNA, CWSP, considered a plus

  • Must have basic understanding of internet and cellular technologies and devices commonly used with audiovisual equipment: cables, network switches and routers, relays and transmission and connection devices

  • Good IP networking fundamentals and experience in the application of IP protocols as well as network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting skills

  • Knowledge of and experience in setting up wireless network architectures including IEEE standards such as 802.11ac, ax

  • Familiarity with available Wireless solutions on the market and engaging with vendors to identify suitable options

  • The Specialist must have the analytical skills needed to troubleshoot a variety of symptoms, diagnose problems, and test, recommend, and implement solutions to technology problems

  • The Specialist must display well-developed and professional interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with people at all organizational levels of the firm

  • Knowledge of standard hardware components, and peripherals is desired, as well as knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft software programs, including Windows and Microsoft Office
