Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a Sr. Software Quality Assurance Specialist to join our Norfolk, VA team.

Essential responsibilities:

  • Create and modify test scripts to certify system changes
  • Review requirements, specifications and documentation to gain a thorough understanding of the programs and processes to be certified.
  • Provide or validate estimates for assigned tasks
  • Develop test control databases
  • Maintain test databases and ensure their integrity and currency
  • Distribute test data from control databases to development staff to satisfy adequate unit testing
  • Assist with configuration management tasks (test scripts, source code control, coordination of requirement changes) on projects as required
  • Release completed projects into production
  • Write trace-ability matrices and test reports
  • Perform minor program changes or develop software programs as required

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience, and five to seven years of job-related experience working on and supporting software application testing
  • Ability to understand and review technical specifications and documentation to implement test programs and processes to be certified
  • Ability to implement and lead processes to create, modify, and run test plans/cases to certify system functionality and/or changes
  • Ability to generate and report various testing artifacts in support of developmental and stakeholder needs
  • Ability to support direct configuration management tasks (test plans/cases, source code control, coordination of requirement changes) on projects as required
  • Thorough knowledge of testing processes and types (“Box” Approaches, Testing Levels, Testing Types) as well as related web application testing tools
  • Ability to develop and implement documentation of procedures, application reference materials, workflows and business processes.
  • Good written and oral communication skills and demonstrated supervisory skills.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing workflow and interface work items in Azure DevOps.
  • Experience assisting with configuration management tasks (test plans/cases, source code control, coordination of requirement changes) on projects as required.
  • Ability to write trace-ability matrices and test reports
  • Active Security clearance
