Job Summary

This position is designated as an unescorted access position and is subject to the requirements of the Unescorted Access Program. As a condition of employment, candidates and incumbents must favorably complete a personnel security investigation, urinalysis testing, respiratory screening, and must meet and maintain personnel suitability and reliability requirements established by the PCD Commander.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES / TASKS

· Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees.

· Perform all work in compliance with environmental permits and regulations.

· Be at work when scheduled and maintain a good attendance record.

· Adhere to standards and expectations for laundry facility personnel.

· Clean and sanitize PPE utilizing tanks, drying ovens, racks and overhead hoists.

· Complete PPE/laundry activity paperwork to ensure compliance.

· Disassemble M-40 series masks for inspection and cleaning.

· Make necessary repairs to M-40 series masks prior to reassembly.

· Ensure all laundry facility records are produced and maintained in a timely, accurate, and legible manner.

· Ensure laundry facility equipment is started, operated, and shutdown in accordance with approved project SOPs.

· Generate work requests as necessary.

· Keep areas of responsibility clean and organized.

· Operate commercial clothing washing machines and dryers.

· Perform all laundry activities in a safe, environmentally sound, effective and consistent manner in accordance with PCAPP

operating procedures and applicable permit and regulatory requirements.

· Perform RCRA, vehicle and forklift inspections.

· Perform serviceability tests on protective and safety equipment using a variety of test machines to include but not limited to

Mask Leakage Tester, Valve Leakage Tester, Air Flow Resistance Tester, Dry Bubble Leakage Tester, Pressure Tester, Portable

Regulator Tester.

· Prepare cleaning and sanitizing solutions utilizing a pH meter or color comparator.

· Prepare laundered and tested protective equipment for storage or issue.

· Properly fit individuals with protective clothing items utilizing sizing charts.

· Rebuild and repair protective equipment utilizing necessary repair kits, power presses, hand tools, and other necessary

means.

· Required to comply with plant conduct standards.

· Responsible for the receipt, tracking, storage, treatment, repair, test, and issuance of all Toxicological Agent Protective (TAP)

gear and mask fit testing.

· Segregate cotton goods for laundering.

· Support preventative and corrective maintenance activities.

Compensation & Benefits

STARTING RATE: $23.84 (This position is part of a certification pay program, which provides additional pay increases as necessary training and certifications are completed. On average, a minimum of two pay increases would be obtained within the first six months of employment.)

This position includes participation in the PCAPP Employee Retention Incentive Benefit Plan, which provides a financial incentive encouraging personnel to remain employed by Amentum at the PCAPP project through a specified timeframe provided qualifiers are met.

As a condition of employment, candidates and incumbents must favorably complete a personnel security investigation, urinalysis testing, respiratory screening, and must meet and maintain personnel suitability and reliability requirements established by the PCD Commander.

Basic Qualifications:

High School diploma/equivalent and some related experience.
Experience in issuing, tracking and accountability of supplies and equipment.
Must be a US Citizen or naturalized citizen able to obtain and maintain PCAPP site access.
Must be computer literate in common software applications and able to operate general office equipment.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be willing to work overtime, varying hours and/or rotating shifts.
Must be willing and able to work in an industrial environment that is in close proximity to and/or in a chemical demilitarization facility.

Preferred Qualifications

Desired Qualifications:

Experience working in a toxic/hazardous materials environment.
Experience in maintenance, care, assembly and fit test of industrial, air purifying and/or supplied air respirators.
