The Equipment Services Administrator provides electrical/mechanical support in response to operational changes resulting from the malfunction, breakdown, relocation, replacement, or other existing mechanical systems and/or equipment. Conduct Preventative/Corrective Maintenance on all automation equipment essential to the automated processes within the Mail Order Pharmacy. The Equipment Services Admin is also an instrumental part of the planning team during the installation or modification of new or existing equipment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performs preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs electrical and mechanical equipment, devices, and components
  • Troubleshoots, routinely inspect the equipment and electro-pneumatic control as necessary on automated equipment
  • Installs new equipment including electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and computer systems
  • Mechanical expertise to include, but is not limited to precision alignment, tensioning fastener and belts, lubrication, lacing, and tracking of the belt system
  • Performs data entry to generate work orders for repair, replacement parts, PM program, inventory data, and machine history
  • Optimizes equipment readiness through planned Preventative/Predictive/Corrective maintenance program
  • Assists Supervisor, Team Lead, and Operators in resolving process problem that affects the quality of the product
  • Possess a sense of urgency in troubleshooting and repairing equipment for minimal downtime
  • Communicates to upper management on the status of equipment downtime
  • Maintains preventative maintenance schedules by thoroughly documenting all issues, repairs, parts used, recommendations, etc.
  • Acts as the first responder for all operation needs relating to production and application issues
  • Reduces machine downtime, improve throughput and overall performance of machines
  • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed equipment parts, and supplies, placing and expediting orders using the CMMS system
  • Performs machine ownership responsibilities on assigned equipment in an effort to exceed the expectation of ensuring equipment is in proper working condition to meet safety, quality, and productivity expectation
  • Performs all assigned planned and unplanned maintenance to Mail Order Pharmacy automation equipment
  • Records all completed work orders and parts used within the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Solves complex problems on its own, proactively identifies new solutions to problems
  • Answers trouble calls throughout the day should any equipment break down or malfunction
  • Works in tandem with IT, Engineering as necessary to solve difficult technical issues
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending scheduled educational workshops, reviewing technical publications
  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Uses/operates power and hand tools
  • Works independently and/or as part of a team
  • Takes part in project teams spanning more than own function
  • Electrical: 3-phase 480 volts circuit, motor starter, and controls
  • Mechanical: Aligns bearing and drive shafts, replaces motors and gearboxes, troubleshoots belt drives, and motors
  • Pneumatic: Connects circuit, determines and corrects failures of solenoids, cylinders, and switches
  • Sensor: Troubleshoots photo-eyes, proximity switches, and other sensing devices

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 3+ years of experience in the repair, troubleshooting, and maintenance of an automated manufacturing or distribution line
  • Experience utilizing the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Experience utilizing PLC, automation control, electrical, mechanical
  • Experience utilizing Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
  • Flexibility to workday shift and weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years with electromechanical maintenance experience within industrial, manufacturing, or automated fulfillment center industries
  • 2+ years of experience with maintenance troubleshooting using PLC tool and data sets
  • Training in Mechanical or Electronic Systems such as Automated Pharmacy System, Automation, TwinCat, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Robotics, and Conveying System, and AC/DC motors and motor controls
  • Knowledge of equipment maintenance programs, policies/procedures
  • Self-starter and proven ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Ability to handle multi-tasks simultaneously
