This position will use end-to-end supply chain expertise & leadership to develop, deliver and support effective Operating Plans to achieve significant improvements across a balanced scorecard in quality, cost, sustainability, delivery, morale and safety. This position will be responsible for defining and executing to the division supply chain strategy at the plant and division levels for both current and future business objectives. This position reports directly to the Division Supply Chain Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner with the Division Supply Chain Manager to deliver key business objectives

• Lead division and/or plant level projects

• Lead and participate in SIOP process and develop/support short-term plans, long term capacity planning, and budget preparations

• Develop strategies to increase inventory turns, reduce costs, and optimize customer service

• Identify methods and processes to improve velocity of material moving through the plant

• Proposes, creates (or elevates) lean, end-to-end value chains by optimizing across functions

• Evaluates and recommends how to optimize the global capacity, capability and cost opportunities within supply chains to meet global customer needs and program requirements.

• Ensure customer demand is met while managing operational and capacity constraints.

• Tracks performance, and ensures compliance with Corning site requirements

• Manage internal customer relations; collaborate with operations & engineering for issue resolution, continuous improvement, or to improve supply chain effectiveness.

• Lead large or small projects to achieve business objectives

• Provide periodic project updates to customer(s) and management. Communicate project goals, objectives, key status information and overall impact of the project effectively with project team members

• Effectively implement all phases of project methodologies to include appropriate initiation, planning, implementation and control, and close-out elements

• Regularly and effectively communicate and update project key issues, status of completion and financial forecasts with project customers, senior management sponsors and senior management steering teams

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree (Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Statistics or Business)

• Minimum of 15 years of supply chain experience across multiple disciplines including planning, sourcing, contract manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, trade compliance and operationalizing enabling tools

• Project management certification & experience leading both small & large teams

• Proven effective leadership skills, specifically leading through influence

• Broad experience and understanding of complex, process-oriented manufacturing environments

• Proven capability to manage, coach, direct, & develop individuals

• Strong analytical capabilities applied to supply chain principles

• Clear & influential communication skills with proven ability to effectively convey complex messages simply across multiple organizational levels

Desired Skills:

• PeopleSoft & SAP knowledge & experience

• Master’s in supply chain management

• Strong command of basic psychology or organizational behavior

• APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP)

• Advanced analytics or digital enablement

• Six Sigma and Lean

• Global work experience, working across regions and cultures

• Ability to work autonomously

Travel Requirements:
