THIS IS A NATIONAL ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE POSITION AND THEREFORE, THERE IS NO GEOGRAPHIC REQUIREMENT FOR RESIDENCY. HOWEVER, ACCOUNTS ARE PRIMARILY GROUPED GEOGRAPHICALLY. THIS POSITION IS IN THE ROCKY MOUNTAIN REGION WITH ACCOUNTS IN COLORADO, NEVADA, and TEXAS.

The position is responsible for leading the matrix team in account planning and implementation, driving optimal access, and appropriate utilization for the BMS hematology/oncology portfolio across all assigned accounts. These include the largest oncology networks, community practices, oncology cancer centers, pathway companies, state oncology societies, and other oncology/hematology organized customers. Deep knowledge and understanding of the clinical, economic and business model dynamics driving decision making and coverage is critical. Deep understanding of the business of oncology and the clinical label and data for the BMS and competitive portfolio is essential. This position will include key US Oncology Network accounts as well as shared responsibility for the McKesson account.

The Hematology/Oncology NAE is responsible for developing strong access and business relationships and communicating approved clinical and economic data with key hematology/oncology decision makers and advisors. The Hematology/Oncology NAE develops and ensures execution of the integrated account business plans. He/she is responsible for aligning the full matrix team (VAP, Medical, HEOR, Sales and others across Oncology and Hematology) to develop and execute the plan. The position serves as the primary interface between BMS/VAP and our national hematology/oncology customers and state oncology societies. Knowledge and understanding of hematology/oncology access influencers is also important. This includes groups like ASCO, ACCC, COA, NCCN, etc. The position reports to Kim Seibel, Director of Market Access Strategic Accounts, Hematology/Oncology National Accounts.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage access through engagement with key stakeholders, including access influencers, to ensure product access; anticipate and mitigate potential challenges
  • Lead matrix collaboration and planning to ensure development of an aligned strategic account plan and coordinated customer interactions across the portfolio
  • Drive commercial success within accounts through close matrix collaboration leveraging full BMS capabilities and resources to effectively pull-through account plan from the top-down
  • Deliver branded and unbranded access, value, economic, and quality messages and tools
  • Establish direct relationships with C-Suite, E-Suite, Medical Directors and key decision makers within assigned customers
  • Support appropriate utilization through clinical management programs and tools
  • Build relationships and identify/execute opportunities with Oncology State Societies
  • Coordinate matrix team resources and facilitate senior executive interactions as appropriate
  • Operate in full compliance to all applicable laws and comply with BMS policies and procedures

Candidate Specifications:

  • Bachelors degree
  • Oncology and/or Hematology Sales Leadership, Market Access, and/or Marketing/Home Office experience (7+ years)
  • Region/National Account management skills/experience (3+ years)
  • Oncology, Hematology, Biologics, Specialty and Physician Administered drug expertise
  • Track record of success in access/sales/marketing
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to network across complex internal and external environment and lead teams without authority
  • Possess executive presence and the ability to interact and negotiate with senior account leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to develop customer centric approaches, leverage multi-disciplinary capabilities and resources in order to realize objectives
  • Demonstrated analytical, negotiation, written and oral communication skills
  • Overnight travel, approximately 50%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree preferred (MBA, PharmD, RN, etc.)
  • Hematology/oncology market access experience preferred
