IntroductionIBM is seeking highly motivated and experienced individuals with project management, strategic sourcing and consulting experience to join our team of procurement professionals. Specifically, we are seeking to fill the role of a Sourcing Manager/Delivery Project Executive. The Sourcing Manager / Delivery Project Executive is the primary client interface for the delivery of our Procurement services. In addition, the Sourcing Manager/Delivery Project Executive cotrols costs, manages the customer relationship and reports on all contracted commitments within IBM and Client leadership, and manages the delivery team at the account.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:Pre-Contract+ Responsible for the overall Procurement Due Diligence activities+ Responsible for working with Sales on development a specific client strategic sourcing and category management solution, including costs+ Responsible for the final sourcing and category management solution for each client+ Responsible for the completion of all pre-contract sourcing solution activities+ Document risks and gaps for client solutions as well as mitigation plans to closeContract Delivery+ Responsible for all post contract sourcing delivery success+ Ensure implementation of supporting infrastructure to deliver procurement services+ Primary interface with the client on the realization of their strategic sourcing objectives through implementation of solution+ Responsible for staffing and managing appropriately skilled resources for the client account while maintaining cost basis+ Drive skill development of Delivery Team in coordination with Center/BPM management+ Manage client stakeholder identification, buy in, and escalations+ Ensure addressable spend is available and aligned with contract or renegotiate commitment+ Establish and manage client dependencies to ensure optimal delivery results+ Drive client approvals at each stage of the project sourcing process+ Drive compliance management activities to support client compliance+ Identify, own, deliver, and report on all contractually obligated sourcing service levels+ Ensure client satisfaction with the sourcing services, including capturing Client NPS ratings+ Provide/manage continuous improvement of services and identify alternatives/options as required+ Participate/lead process improvement activities, as appropriate+ Participate in joint planning activities, as appropriate+ Lead/staff teams to address critical situations/problems/projects/follow-up+ Resolve conflict in complex scenariosProgram Management+ Manage the Client Experience+ Establish a strong management system to support IBM and Client focused cadences+ Manage scope and costs, including managing varied IBM Financial Systems+ Identify sales opportunities for account growth, introduce innovations within scope of service for increased client value+ Communicate to Project Executive key items such as contract breach, problem resolution, Root Cause Analysis, resource & performance issues, escalation issues, growth demands, cost and vendor performance issues+ Meet delivery audit requirements+ Manage changing risk and mitigation plans+ Manage vendors associated with services delivery+ Provide data and systems integrity as applicable under IBM Corporate Instructions+ Identify and resolve cost overruns or new cost information+ Interlock financial plan quarterly/annually within IBM - includes, Ongoing cost management to deliver financial forecast and meet contract financial targets+ Drive Cost Take Out (CTO) efforts to deliver to Contract financial plans+ Implement an iterative, continuous improvement plan to meet contractual commitments and unlock additional opportunities client can benefit fromSince the majority of the work is performed at client locations (domestic and/or international), high travel is required each week (75% to 90%). Typically, the Sourcing Manager/Delivery Project Executive is expected to be at the client site Monday through Thursday each week.Required Technical and Professional ExpertiseIn addition to having excellent client-facing skills, the ideal candidate will have a minimum ten (10) years' experience in procurement consulting or procurement business process outsourcing industry and have expert knowledge of the 7-step sourcing process, category management, strategic sourcing, tactical buying, procurement operations, contract management, risk management and supplier relationship management; as well as demonstrate proficiency in leading teams supporting complex scope of services for clients and have management experience.A core requirement for the position is to have extensive experience in strategic category sourcing in at least three of the following categories: Corporate and Professional Services; Enterprise Services; Technology Services and Equipment, Marketing and Communications; Travel; and Logistics.
