Position Summary

Lead commercial Customer Partnership & Supply Orchestration (CPSO) team across China, Hong Kong, APAC, EEMEA, LATAM, and LR COE markets, interfacing with GPS and commercial stakeholders to enable development of robust supply plans integrated with market dynamics, business requirements, and strategy. Play a critical role in supporting business growth, geographical footprint expansion and enabling commercial potential by proactively planning Supply Chain in line with forecasted business growth.

Bridge Supply Chain expertise and market knowledge to collaborate with commercial teams in solving business-critical problems and driving key commercial strategic decisions. Build strong relationships and interface effectively with senior leadership across the enterprise in managing complex interdependencies to ensure agility, urgency in supply continuity, mitigation of risks, and development of strategies to serve the market in years ahead. Focus on proactive prevention of issues through effective leadership and oversight of CPSO teams and serve as an escalation point for triage of high value / critical challenges


Key Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in collaborating with commercial teams to drive critical commercial decisions involving Intercon market supply planning, representing function as an SME

  • Act as single point of contact and partner to Market GMs, Commercial VPs across franchises/TAs

  • Build strong relationships and interface effectively with senior leadership across the enterprise in managing complex interdependencies to ensure agility.

  • Execute Regional S&OP meetings and participate in global demand review and Global S&OP supporting the Global Collaboration lead

  • Manage ‘dynamic markets’ (e.g., Tenders) and those the operate under a distributor markets

  • Attend & Co-chair Demand Consensus Meetings, understanding Market input drivers to forecast and challenging as needed

  • Oversee market demand sensing / shaping and provide dotted line support for Intercon Demand Planning

  • Align demand consensus, validate demand planning with financial outlook, and ensure adherence to budget; responsible for inventory obsolescence / forecast accuracy, as inventory is centrally-owned

  • Ensure flow of demand signals from market to master data management (MDMs)

  • Serve as an escalation point for teams to flag challenges; effectively manage escalated risks through early communication with leadership and collaboration with both commercial and supply chain teams

  • Attend monthly, weekly, and daily Supply Reviews with Commercial / Finance Team (delivery detail, time of release, DOH) to enable swift action on risks / deviations from plan as they emerge

  • Interact with GDS (secondary logistics) for expediting and delivery timing

  • Interface with Bio & Pharma Planning teams

  • Develop/propose strategies to serve the market and different distribution channels, proactively prevent issues in years ahead

  • Provide timely Notifications to Market (NTM) on supply constraints / disruptions to mitigate downstream effects of compounded supply chain risks

  • Ensure KPIs for customers & markets in scope are achieved, providing analysis & insights to key drivers

  • Work with Trade Ops to manage stock on allocation and customer dynamics

  • Utilize analysis and forecasts from teams to provide input into Global allocation decisions in coordination with SCPLs / NSP (SC)

  • Oversee CPSO Directors at the front line with local finance directors in addition to Supply Orchestrators who are the single point of contact with markets to monitor supply / inventory health

  • Remain well-informed of global events (political change, environmental disasters, etc.) and how they may impact the supply plans for markets/customers in scope

  • Build a high-performing team of Sr. Director/Director level CPSO Leaders to serve the region, creating a culture of empowerment, innovation, inclusion and growth

  • Collect Patient and Customer needs and translate into innovative supply chain solutions improving customer experience aligned with commercial strategy


Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Engineering or Business, preferably with focus on Operations, or related field of study. Masters/MBA Desired

  • ~15 years of experience in Global roles within Commercial Supply Chain Management, Market Supply Operations or Planning in the biotech/pharma industry, or comparable experiences within the industry

  • Strong presentation and business case development skills

  • Understanding of Finance principles, P&L, Budget, and Commercially-relevant business terminology

  • Understanding of supply chain capabilities including cost of services that drive innovative solutions and respond quickly to customer needs

  • Ability to influence and engage partners beyond functional responsibilities and deliver results

  • Demonstrated team and cross-functional stakeholder leadership skills

  • Demonstrated ability to attract, develop, and retain high-performing teams

  • Understanding of Forecasting, Demand Planning, and relevant KPIs, i.e. FA, MAPE, Bias

  • Strong communication skills (Verbal, Presentation, Written) to communicate effectively with executive level leadership such as SVPs, VPs, GMs

  • Demonstrated ability to resolve conflicts and make informed decisions under time pressure and strong negotiation skills

  • Business Acumen & Customer Relationship management Exposure

  • Ability to lead with agility and adapt quickly to competing priorities while remaining focused

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines
