With a strong medicines pipeline, our current transformation will not just deliver growth for our business but continue to allow us to bring innovative medicines to patients quickly.<br><br>The Global Value and Access (GVA) Early Access Pipeline Executive Director role is a key leadership position with global responsibility to ensure simplified pipeline/portfolio processes and strategic internal and external partnerships are in place to foster co-development of innovative and winning early market access (MA) strategies, optimize portfolio value and accelerate patient access to innovative therapies. The role will primarily focus on above brand projects across therapeutic areas that enable access teams to include payer considerations in investment and tollgate decisions, early product Target Product Profiles, clinical development plans, integrated product strategies, and asset value optimization with a keen focus on the US, Germany, Japan and China markets.<br><br>Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:<br><br>Pipeline/Portfolio Processes:<br>• Responsible for ensuring efficient processes between Early Access and cross-functional teams driving pipeline/portfolio strategy development from pre-Proof-of-Concept (POC) to Full Development Point (FDP)<br>• Establish and maintain positive relationships with key internal pipeline/portfolio teams including Strategy & Growth, Novartis Institutes of BioMedical Research, Global Drug Development and Therapeutic Areas (and others as ways-of-working evolve)<br>• Coordinate bi-annual early access pipeline summit meetings <br>• Ensure co-development of access strategies with priority countries (US, CN, DE, JP), and major Health Technology Assessments (HTA) archetypes (e.g., UK, Canada), as needed<br>• Lead development of resources/tools to support Early Access Pipeline management (e.g. access pipeline dashboard)<br>• Lead and support engagements with other Novartis business units (e.g. Cell & Gene, Advanced Accelerator Applications) to ensure alignment on priorities<br>• Ensure smooth transitions of assets from early access to launch access teams<br><br>External Engagements:<br>• European Union Health Technology Assessment coordinated with Region Europe Access Process<br>• Measurable residual disease Partnership and Alliance in Acute myeloid leukemia Clinical Treatment (MPAACT) Consortium – co-lead for access<br><br>People Development:<br>• Will lead 2-3 Early Asset Associate Directors and/or Directors<br>• Chair monthly learning Global Value & Access roundtables.<br><br>The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $233,600 and $350,400/year; however, while salary ranges are effective from 1/1/23 through 12/31/23, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges during this period. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including, but not limited to geographical location, experience level, knowledge, skills and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a sign-on bonus, restricted stock units, and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
