We are currently recruiting for a Executive Director, Global Marketing – for one asset in the Hematology class of drugs. This new brand is expected to launch in the coming years and is an exciting opportunity to help patients and expand our company's oncology portfolio.

The Executive Director, Asset & Disease Lead will report to the Associate Vice President, Global Marketing, New Products Oncology-Hematology. This newly created position will be accountable for the Commercial strategy of a clinical-stage important pipeline asset and lead the Commercial Team focused on it.

This role is an exciting opportunity to help patients and have a material impact on our company's oncology portfolio. This position will require outstanding leadership in:

  • Commercial disease/ asset strategy, brand development & launch preparation

  • Inspiring the matrix organization and building a successful Commercial Asset Team.

Primary Responsibilities:

Lead the Asset team in:

  • Providing commercial inputs, where appropriate, into Disease/ Asset strategy, Clinical development Plan and other activities (e.g., Congress Planning, Scientific Platform development, Medical Education programs, Patient Engagement, Access Plan, etc.), closely collaborating with Research and Development (R&D)/ Product Development team and other important key internal stakeholders, such as Medical / Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) and Market Access

Collaborating with other Global functions (Market Access, GBS, medical Affair, etc.) and regions to:

  • Develop Global Asset Brand Strategy across targeted indications, ensuring integration of regions/ key market needs

  • Develop Compliant Market Development & Commercial Model focused on Commitment to the rare disease community (especially concerning uncovering the unmet needs), Patient group identification, Patient access and Patient and caregivers’ support

  • Develop Global Campaign, including trademark, hallmark, logo lockup, concepts, and messaging

  • Develop plan and execute worldwide launch to ensure commercial and enterprise readiness

  • Participate, where appropriate, in the development of customer engagement strategy and scientific expert leader engagement

  • Develop detailed competition tracking/ assessment & competitive response planning to inform commercial planning assumptions, strategy and positioning

  • Provide commercial inputs, where appropriate, for the creation & implementation of internal/ external communications for the asset


  • Required: Bachelor's Degree

  • Preferred: Advanced Degree

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum 10+ years combined marketing, sales, market access & pricing, marketing support or related experiences in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries.

  • Understanding of Oncology healthcare market dynamics around innovation & capabilities

  • Understanding of healthcare trends and reimbursement and policy issues and their potential impact upon our Company's business opportunities

  • Strong business acumen and ability to drive initiative forward

  • Strong collaboration skills, both within commercial teams and cross divisional teams

  • Ability to clearly articulate messages/information across the enterprise and to leadership

  • Ability to work within complex organizations and markets and leading sub-teams and influencing without authority

Experience in collaborating with cross divisional teams to lead asset strategy development and implementation at Global level in Hematology, including activities such as:

  • Asset strategy development across targeted indications

  • Target product profile development, global regulatory filing strategy, launch readiness reviews, brand strategy, brand positioning, and brand marketing

  • Market Development/ Commercial Model (especially in Rare Diseases) and launch readiness

  • Demand generation, forecasting and P&L

  • BD&L activities

  • Work with finance and business planning to manage brand forecast and S&OP process

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Onco-Hematology & rare disease marketing experience, especially in Myeloproliferative neoplasms

  • Global, Regional and local experience

  • Medical support experience preferred

  • Proven track record in building and managing teams

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Expected salary range:

$235,280.00 - $370,400.00
