We are currently recruiting for an Executive Director, Asset Lead, within Global Oncology Marketing. The Executive Director, Asset Lead will report to the Associate Vice President, Asset/Disease Lead for Kidney & Prostate Cancer. This newly created position will serve as the commercial leader in Renal Cell Carcinoma (RCC), VHL- or HIF-2α associated diseases/neoplasms, and other areas of scientific interest explored in clinical development. This role is an exciting opportunity to help advance patient care and have a material impact on fulfilling the company's oncology vision and unlocking the full value of its future portfolio. This position will require outstanding leadership in strategy and brand development, as well as strong cross functional team collaboration, influence and connectivity with our Research and Development Division (R&D) and Product Development Teams (PDTs).

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Establish enterprise vision, goals and strategic direction for the asset as a whole, starting in RCC/VHL-disease and potentially bridging across other areas as informed by the emerging science and clinical data

  • Serve as commercial lead on the RCC Product Development Team (PDT), and interfacing with others as appropriate (i.e., Innovative Strategies etc.); bring a strong voice of the customer and business into the Late Drug Review Committee (LDRC), study prioritization process and other governance forums to optimize the relevance and impact of future investments behind the asset

  • Lead cross-functional team efforts to develop the short-, mid- and long-term strategic priorities, Go-To-Market (GTM) approach and roadmap for success; this will require close partnership with Research & Development (R&D), Market Access & Pricing, Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR), Medical Affairs and other key stakeholder groups across Global, International and Country

  • Excellence in launch readiness and execution across monotherapy and combination indications; strong collaboration, partnership and effective/ efficient Ways of Working (WoW) with Alliance partners, where applicable

  • Collaborate with Global Brand Strategy (GBS), Global Market Research and other stakeholder groups to develop key promotional deliverables including concepts, branding, messaging, regimen and portfolio positioning, and other launch tactics/ resources

  • Scientific strategy development and execution to support the asset and disease strategy (e.g., Congress Planning, Inform Scientific Platform development and Medical Education programs)

  • Lead role in Scientific Leader Engagement (SLE) and partnership with Global Medical Affairs to solicit key SL insights at appropriate forums such as Ad Boards/Expert Input Forums to shape ongoing plans

  • Support creation and implementation of internal/external communications for the asset

  • Monitor and evaluate the competitive threat from other HIF-2α assets on the horizon, and develop offensive and/or defensive counter-strategies as appropriate

  • The role will be responsible for leading a team of two direct reports (potential to expand over time) and therefore experience in growing and developing people/talent will be important

Education:

  • Required: Bachelor's Degree

  • Preferred: Advanced Degree

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Proven track record with a minimum 10+ years combined marketing, sales, market access & pricing, commercial planning or related experiences in pharmaceutical or biotechnology industries

  • Understanding of Oncology healthcare market dynamics around innovation, access, commercialization and capabilities

  • Experience leading strategy development and implementation

  • Strong business acumen and ability to drive forward large-scale initiatives across multiple functions with broad enterprise impact

  • Strong collaboration skills, both within commercial teams and cross divisional teams

  • Ability to clearly articulate messages/information across the enterprise and to leadership

  • Ability to work within complex organizations and markets and leading sub-teams and influencing without authority

  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex data, information and analytics to formulate sound and well-thought through forecast and other planning assumptions to support commercial assessments and evaluations as needed

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Global Marketing and/or Oncology marketing experience

  • Demonstrated leadership in the development of brand strategy, brand positioning and launching new products or indications

  • Experience providing commercial input on such activities as: target product profile development, global regulatory filing strategy, launch readiness reviews, organized customer interactions, market research, demand, revenue, and P&L forecasting, Business Development & Licensing (BD&L) activities, Product Development Team (PDT) and agency partner management

  • Work with finance and business planning to manage brand forecast and supply planning

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Expected salary range:

$235,280.00 - $370,400.00
