Commercial Insurance Executive Underwriter, Public Entity

The Executive Underwriter’s primary responsibility is to execute Chubb Public Entity profitability, growth and underwriting business strategies by establishing and monitoring territory goals and action plans. This position will work to achieve profitable underwriting results through the growth, development, and underwriting of our target public entity business. This position will be responsible for achieving profitability & production goals, cross selling and overall governance goals for their assigned territory.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
• Profitability and Production
o Goal Achievement - Delivering upon the mutually derived territory budgeted forecasts and plans.
o Growth Strategies- Establishing, monitoring, and executing upon written marketing plans and strategies.
o Underwriting Integrity - Ensuring the territory achieves all underwriting standards.

• Territory Governance
o Territory Monitoring – Preparing & presenting a monthly report on key performance indicators and factors driving our success/failures.
o Territory Administrative - Ensuring the territory achieves all standards with regards to all administrative responsibilities
o Customer service – in collaboration with Claims, Risk Engineering, Operations, etc. develops and executes a service plan to meet/exceed customer expectations. Acts as the focal point for stewardship process for accounts in assigned territory.
o Marketing – develop and implement initiatives to effectively cross-sell across Chubb business lines.

Desired qualifications:
• 5+ years underwriting experience in general casualty lines, Public Entity knowledge preferred
• Bachelor’s degree
• Strong Analytical Skills
