Sales Executive - Banking & Capital Markets Analytics & Cognitive

Are you a Sales Executive (SE) that has an entrepreneurial spirit, relevant Banking & Capital Markets Industry experience, as well as data modernization and analytics experience along with a demonstrated sales track-record? If so, Deloitte Services LP is looking for a top-performing Sales Executive to help grow its Banking & Capital Markets Analytics & Cognitive Practice with a focus on driving service sales.

Data & Analytics continue to underpin 'offense' and 'defense' game plans at banks. Major trends we see include:

  • Growing adoption of AI and advanced analytics, primarily driven by the need to improve customer satisfaction, drive the top-line growth agenda, and to reduce inefficiencies
  • Organizations are moving from 'experimenting' to 'scaling' advanced analytics and AI solutions
  • Next-generation technology is seen as the enabler to drive advanced analytics solutions

Surveys have shown that:
  • 48% CAGR global, cross-sector growth in analytics investment through 2021
  • 76% of banking executives agree that adopting AI will be a critical differentiator
  • Financial Institutions will invest $10 Billion in AI in 2020

The Sales Center of Excellence (COE) supports Deloitte's businesses in uncovering, nurturing, and closing sales opportunities. Working hand-in-hand with Partners, Principals and Managing Directors, our Sales Executives focus their highly skilled efforts in securing relationships with qualified targets and decision makers to uncover opportunities, develop effective sales strategies, manage the pursuit process and act as a key advisor to the pursuit team throughout the sales process.

What you'll do:

The SE is responsible for selling services around the implementation of advanced Banking & Capital Markets Analytics & Cognitive solutions. The role involves:
  • Create awareness, build relationships with key executives, and develop/pursue leads
  • Target client leadership across the Retail, Commercial, Cards & Payments, Capital Markets, Transaction Banking and Wealth Management subsectors
  • Embed Deloitte in an ecosystem of emerging Data and Analytics players while enhancing Deloitte's brand as a reliable business services partner and system integrator
  • Working with our Ecosystem & Alliance marketing teams to drive awareness and joint marketing opportunities.
  • Assist account teams with identifying, qualifying, and winning opportunities
  • Infiltrate and influence decision-makers at the highest levels within accounts
  • Leverage Executive level relationships to introduce Deloitte and create and pursue selling opportunities
  • Demand management, i.e., work with the consultants and delivery groups to determine the solution details and approach
  • Partner with Offering and Sector portfolio leads to identify and pursue leads within the sector
  • Teamwork, foster relationships, be extremely resourceful and develop consensus

Required Qualifications:
  • Successful track record of sales, selling software and service solutions within the Banking & Capital Markets industry.
  • A cold-calling, self-starter and someone who does not need to be told what to do but knows what it takes to win.
  • Possess a minimum of 10 years' experience across the Banking & Capital Markets Industry
  • Experience around the key trends and challenges across the Industry that provide clear benefits fueled by cloud-enabled data modernization:
    • Risk & Finance at the core to automate finance and risk processes while empowering business units with real-time insights and smarter scenario planning
    • Customer Centricity and Marketing Analytics by managing granular customer data to deliver integrated experiences / hyper personalized services, while enabling cross LOB client data integration & exchange
    • Analytics Driven Growth Agenda to not just unlock efficiencies, but also reimagine business models, extend product portfolio and drive innovation
    • Regulatory Compliance to meet regulatory expectations, supporting compliance objectives, and strengthening data resilience
    • Data Protection & Sustained Trust by focusing on accuracy early in the data lifecycle and controlling it thereafter to support growth, analytics and risk objectives
    • Data & Infrastructure Modernization as banks adopt next-gen technologies, embrace public cloud infrastructure, foster agility, and support open banking
  • Experience with data modernization initiatives that may include a focus on the democratization and delivery of information to the hands of the business via operational, management and regulatory reports, advanced visualizations and dashboards, exploratory analytics and predictive models for advanced analytics, enabling:
    • Standardized, optimized, repeatable and scalable delivery of BI and analytics for the enterprise
    • Empowerment of internal decision-makers with the ability to develop more advanced predictive models using modernized data and tools
    • Delivery of analytics-as-a-service to internal and external users
    • Deployment of market leading visualization and data discovery tools to support the business
  • Experience with Cloud-enabled data infrastructures (e.g. AWS, GCP, Snowflake)
  • Experience selling high end, project-based, professional consulting services, characterized by long sales cycles and both large and small dollar transactions
  • Significant business relationships with senior client executives
  • Ability to work as a team player
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • An ability to gain access and influence decision-makers at the highest levels in client organizations
  • Experience crafting and executing strategic and tactical plans to close large revenue projects
  • Travel up to 70% (While 70% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
