What you’ll be doing...

As the Executive Director of Wireline Connectivity for the Verizon Business Group (VBG), you will have responsibility for the Wireline Access and Transport, Managed Network Services, and emerging network-based technologies like Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) and Multi-cloud networking. This includes product development and end-to-end product lifecycle management for all associated products. This position is responsible for directing a $7B+ portfolio across all customer segments.

Focus areas for this role:

  • Acceleration of business transformation to ‘network-as-a-service’: deliver frictionless, on-demand, self-managed offers with usage based consumption across the portfolio
  • Multi-cloud networking: on-demand private cloud-to-cloud networking with global availability and flexible provisioning/management
  • Secure Access Service Edge (SASE): converged cloud-centric networking and security solutions
  • Broadband Anywhere: fiber-based offers both in and out of franchise
  • Executing a strategic network transformation; migrating customers from TDM to Ethernet while creating a rationalized profitable portfolio.
  • Leading investment, marketing, and product management to support renewal and innovation on WAVE, Ethernet, and MPLS services
  • Transforming Layer 1, 2 and 3 services from a traditional model to a viable, on demand service via industry available, standardized API’s

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading a team of experienced product managers in developing innovative solutions and managing product lifecycles end-to-end, including market opportunity assessment, competitive analysis, product strategy, business case, capability roadmap, customer experience, operational excellence, and sales enablement and support
  • Driving transformation of the networking portfolio through build, buy, partner strategies, and with an acute focus on customer needs and a pulse on the evolving marketplace
  • Aligning and incorporating partner products to produce value added solutions for Network based services
  • Lifecycle management strategy for converting existing base and developing and executing strategy to grow additional revenues across responsible verticals
  • Defining and driving the strategic direction and competitive positioning of the products across multiple sales channels and customer segments
  • Prioritizing initiatives and allocating investment of capital and expenses to maximize impact
  • Driving product development initiatives to launch on-time and within budget
  • Establishing and executing go-to-market plans and driving post-launch activity to ensure revenue forecasts are achieved
  • Growing solutions revenue and profitability to positively impact shareholder value
  • Tracking and analyzing key performance metrics on a monthly basis and forecast product revenues
  • Ensuring winning customer value propositions and exceptional customer experiences, end-to-end

What we’re looking for...

  • 10+ years of product management experience delivering connectivity and security solutions to multi-segment clients
  • Demonstrated track record of successful leadership and employee development in a cross-functional environment
  • Ability to develop and drive execution for product strategies that drive sales
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and pivot direction quickly in response to changing business needs
  • Ability to conduct meetings, think critically, and drive timelines to completion
  • Clear and concise oral, written, and executive level presentation capabilities
  • Strong interpersonal and project management skills
  • Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills
  • Have acute understanding of traditional network/access technologies with transformation experience providing autonomous routing and security capabilities embedded in to the network itself and not based on over the top

  • Understanding of security concepts and how they can be embedded directly in to the network in a cost efficient manner; ability to raise the bar in standard security for all customers to protect them from the increasing amount of threats on the internet
  • Able to understand and push forward advanced networking and orchestration technologies to facilitate cloud-based services
  • Proven track record working with and influencing cross-functional and business operational teams; ability to quickly and actively establish an internal network of relationships
  • Skills necessary to analyze industry data and anticipate changing demands within the assigned product sets
  • Must be able to strategize, promote then execute on new direction quickly
  • Ability to travel domestically as required
