Executive Systems Engineer

Job Summary

Amentum is seeking a dedicated Executive Systems Engineer to join our team at Aberdeen Proving Ground near Baltimore, MD supporting the Army's PEO IEWS Program Manager for Electronic Warfare and Cyber systems. This position is contingent upon contract award.

The ideal candidate will serve as a subject matter expert and assist lower-grade personnel, providing technical guidance and information to meet requirements. The ideal candidate will review, assist and mentor other employee’s and provide high level subject matter expertise in systems engineering activities to ensure the PEO IEWS is compliant with program requirements and objectives, interoperability requirements, configuration management requirements, and similar Program-Wide efforts. Responsibilities include:

• Capabilities analysis.
• Leadership and Education, Personnel and Facilities (DOTMLPF) efforts.
• Joint Capability Integration and Development System (JCIDS) and Cyber Capability Integration and Development System (CCIDS).
• System and/or software integration.
• Platform integration.
• Interoperability with various Command, Control, and Communications (C3) systems.
• Technical or operational testing.
• Supporting sustainment and refreshment of capabilities.
• Supporting configuration management.
• Attending, participating, and leading planning and strategy meetings.
• Attending, participating, and leading program review and coordination meetings.
• Conducting general systems engineering, systems implementation planning and system test and evaluation services.
• Preparing specifications, plans, analyses, modeling, simulations and reports.
• Reviewing engineering output in the areas of systems level operation and maintenance procedures, performance improvements criteria, tools assessments, metrics management, quality assurance, configuration management, technical orders, and maintenance practices.
• Conducting systems engineering trade-off analysis.

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must possess a TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance.
• PhD in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or related scientific or technical discipline. (Four additional years of direct relevant technical experience may be substituted for PhD education level (i.e. 4 ADDITIONAL years in lieu of a PhD).
• A minimum of fifteen (15) years related experience with a Masters or Twelve (12) Years related experience with a PhD.

• Experience in DOTMLPF efforts, Joint Capability Integration and Development System (JCIDS), and Cyber Capability Integration and Development System (CCIDS) highly desired.
