Financial Accountant (Hybrid)
Job Description
Organon is currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant in the UK.
This is a full-time permanent position with hybrid working, spending two days a week in our Shoreditch office in London. This is a broad, in-country Financial Accounting role, working within a small UK team and collaborating with our Global Shared Services and our Centre of Expertise's.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Period end adjustments to support the preparing and closing of monthly books.
Support cash and investment team with allocation of payments.
Support with monthly direct and indirect tax activities including import duty analysis, deferred and current tax provision calculations.
Support fixed asset accounting.
Support all accounting to reporting (AtR) activities for the UK market covering both the London HQ and Cramlington manufacturing sites.
Payroll reconciliations and payroll accounting.
Support preparation of statutory accounts for filing with Companies House.
Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations.
Support the preparation of tax filings specifically the annual corporation tax return.
Ongoing work and ad hoc support with HMRC relationship, Corp Tax queries, projects, new products and supply chain changes, VAT queries.
Support with internal audit associated with SOX controls.
Background Requirements and Qualifications:
Part qualified/newly qualified accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA etc).
Good working knowledge of SAP /S4HANA.
Very good MS Office skills (mainly Excel).
Experience of preparation of annual statutory accounts preferable.
Experience of payroll accounting is of advantage
Experience of working in a global corporate setting preferable but not essential.
Solid knowledge of SOX controls and internal controls in general.
High level of integrity and compliance.
Fluent in English

Finance is an integral part of the cluster team. The Financial Accountant is responsible for assisting the UK Accounting Lead in maintaining a rigorous set of financial ledgers and providing financial accounting support for all entity operations. In this role, he/she will have end-to-end responsibility for the US GAAP and local GAAP results. This includes all financial accounting, tax and treasury operations and internal control related matters performed either locally or through partner teams (e.g. Shared service center (GSS), CoE (center of excellence)). In line with the structure, this role will need close collaboration within UK & ENI cluster countries.
