What you will do

This role is a Leadership role within the Finance Team and you will be responsible for managing and driving the Finance group on site to excellence. This role is critical to our South Florida business supporting both our Mako & Orthosensor GQO entities.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Reports on key financial performance measures to operations and senior management on a monthly and quarterly basis.

  • Participates in monthly and yearly closing process including journal entry preparation and review.

  • Prepares and analyzes financial statements and reports for monthly and quarterly financial reporting, tax reports, and other internal and external reports as required.

  • Analyzes monthly operating performance and profit projections for reporting and developing action items.

  • Sets direction as key member of the Operations leadership team

  • Ensure familiarity and correct application of Corporate and Division cost accounting policies and principles.

  • Evaluates system requirements with an eye toward automating different aspects of the accounting cycles.

  • Acts as a champion for key company initiatives

  • Personnel management including scheduling, providing technical assistance, and employee development which includes hiring, communicating company policies, coaching and counseling, administering performance appraisals, and enforcing company policies through appropriate disciplinary measures.

  • Ensuring compliance with established regulatory and quality, legal, corporate, and human resources policies and procedures.

  • Maintain an environment of strong collaboration with commercial partners

  • Heavy involvement and leadership in Integrated Business Planning (S&OP) process.

  • Customer satisfaction: Perform with honesty and integrity instituting a highly responsive and unsurpassed level of customer service. Promote an environment emphasizing teamwork, empowerment, and problem resolution with a consultative approach.

  • System innovation: Listen, participate, and contribute to enhancement of current processes and new system innovations.

  • Quality: Adhere to standards of training and providing documentation, continuous performance enhancement, and reliability.

  • Ensure accuracy of GIM costs.

  • Assist with the development and tracking of annual budgets.

  • Drives cost changes throughout the organization.

  • Generates data and analysis to assist in key business decisions for the division.

  • May assist in development and transmissions of operating plan and strategic plan.

What you need

  • Bachelor's degree required (in Accounting or Finance preferred)

  • 10+ years experience required

  • Experience in a Finance position supporting a high performance manufacturing operation is required, together with experience in team building in a Manufacturing environment

  • The successful candidate will be customer focused and act as a liaison between Finance and Manufacturing

  • Hold a recognized professional accounting qualification preferred
