What You Will Do

The Manager, Finance will help support the growth and profitability of the Trauma team (inclusive of sales, marketing and R&D functions), commercial supply chain, sales operations, and business operations functions by serving as a trusted finance business partner to the leaders of these teams.

  • Lead and manage a team of professionals, including selecting/hiring, objective-setting, performance management, compensation management, discipline, coaching/development, training and termination.

  • Provide financial guidance and assistance to internal business partners.

  • Prepare business plans, including annual operating plans, periodic forecasts, strategic plans, and product introduction financial plans.

  • Create and translate operating plans and forecasts into financial plans and projections to ensure that the organization achieves its financial targets; recommend corrective action, as needed.

  • Provide timely explanations of variances between actual results and forecasts/budgets; provide corrective action recommendations to management, where necessary.

  • Develop, monitor and implement financial objectives for the division.

  • Prepare the P&L and communicate actual vs. budgeted to the management team.

  • Generate or oversee the development of financial reports for the division.

What You Need

  • Bachelor's Degree Required. Prefer Accounting or Finance focus.

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration and/or CPA (preferred).

  • 6+ years work experience in a financial environment; prefer combination of both public and private accounting experience

  • 1+ year experience in a managerial role (preferred)

  • Applied knowledge of monthly financial statement and preparing/issuing financial statements

  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office Suite

  • Applied knowledge of Oracle & Hyperion (preferred)
