Eatons Aerospace Group is seeking a Division Finance Director in our Jackson, MI location.Primary Function:This position is responsible for managing the activities of the finance function for the Fuel & Electrical Distribution (FED) Division, based in Jackson, MI. These responsibilities include internal and external reporting, forecasting and planning, compliance with all applicable financial reporting requirements (Sarbanes-Oxley and US GAAP). The position is responsible for building organizational capability within the Finance function and to provide financial leadership and direction to the operations and its leadership team in the pursuit of business goals and objectives. This role will support an aerospace division with approximately $1B in sales per annum and will report directly to the Aerospace Group Vice President of Finance and functionally to the Vice President and General Manager for the FED Division.Essential Functions:+ Provide financial leadership and business advisory services to ensure the Division achieves its goals+ Lead FED manufacturing operations and development program/R&D finance initiatives.+ Maintain development program financial performance reporting & analysis, including linkages with cost & schedule measurement. Provide development program financial analysis and early warnings to management to avoid surprises.+ Lead critical processes including reporting and analyzing monthly actual results, forecasts, profit plan and strategic plan. Ensure that business is meeting financial targets over both short and long-term horizons.+ Proactively identify financial risks and develop mitigation plans to protect Eatons assets & interests.+ Communicate financial performance to the FED leadership team. Focus on performance to goals and identify areas for improvement and concern.+ Build organizational capability within the Finance function across FED. Ensure that top talent is hired and retained. Provide training opportunities for finance employees and give honest and open feedback to aid in the development of Finance talent.+ Ensure that FED is compliant with all applicable US and European laws & regulations regarding financial reporting and results, including Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.+ Direct activities to comply with US Government accounting standards and regulations, as well as maximize opportunities to optimize pricing and recover costs under DoD negotiated contracts.+ Perform financial analysis as required to support business decisions regarding acquisitions, divestitures, plant closings, make vs. buy decisions, etc.+ Drive continuous improvement and cost out activities for FED, including the Finance function.+ Leads functional due diligence on all M&A activitiesPreferred:+ MBA, CPA, and/or CMA preferred+ Ten years experience in an aerospace controller or senior finance leadership roleAdditional Information:+ Travel may be required up to 25% of the time+ Opportunity to gain exposure to and work with many cross functional teams+ Exposure to senior leaders within the Aerospace business QualificationsBasic qualifications:+ Bachelors Degree or equivalent from an accredited institution+ Minimum 10 years of experience in an industrial finance role+ Minimum 5 years in an industrial aerospace finance leadership role+ Must have previous experience as an industrial manufacturing controller+ Must be able to work on an on-going basis without requiring company sponsorship+ This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
