Responsibilities

As the Finance and Operations Manager in Deloitte's marketing organization, you will liaise with marketing leaders and finance to foster an environment that drives operational excellence. You will be responsible for budget planning, capacity and savings modeling, the operational data ecosystem, and data storytelling to meet our growing and complex business needs. You will act as a strategist, advisor, implementer to achieve streamlined activities within the organization based on urgency and priority. You will be able to collate and prioritize critical issues and required information to facilitate efficient decision making; delivering insights and making recommendations to help realize the vision for the organization.

You will have the desire to learn the inner workings of the marketing organization; including the business marketing teams and the in-house agency (GDA-Green Dot Agency) that will help inform and influence their work. We are looking for a candidate with a strong foundation in business operations, financial management, and data management, with the ability to analyze large data sets, create digestible insights, and leverage the data to tell a story that will resonate for various audiences and is actionable.

Partner with leadership and various internal stakeholders and colleagues to:

  • Understand always evolving business needs and priorities
  • Perform analyses to advise on optimal business strategies that support objectives, and execute upon those approaches
  • Establish processes and operational reporting best practices, and deliver ad hoc and regular cadence reporting on budget, capacity, utilization, and forecasts
  • Develop fiscal year operating strategies and supporting plans
  • Act as data advisor in the development and quality assurance of reports and dashboards
  • Develop, monitor and execute specific initiatives to improve business performance, reduce cost structure and optimize capacity
  • Manage business plan including tracking, execution, variance analysis, and recommendations
  • Drive capacity and utilization forecasting and analysis
  • Analyze and identify savings opportunities
  • Oversee time and expense account management strategy and implementation

Partner with Finance to:
  • Translate business needs and changes, strategizing on solutions and coordinating implementation
  • Understand Deloitte's financial environment and identifying its impact on operations
  • Plan for fiscal year, including budget, capacity, volume of work
  • Prepare year-end close and accrual needs, and ensuring execution through Finance
  • Track what costs require journal entries and orchestrating execution with Finance
  • Manage organizational reporting hierarchy
  • Strategize for cost allocation and management
  • Oversee Global internal client cost and billing models

  • Expert problem solver. Leverages knowledge gained through prior experience, education, training to resolve issues and remove project barriers
  • Extensive experience advising and coaching top executives on strategic, organizational, and communications matters
  • Fosters a climate conducive to establishing positive working relationships with clients (internal and external)
  • Limited sponsorship may be available
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills required. Must be able to easily grasp and communicate complex ideas

Education and Experience
  • 8+ years of relevant business operations experience required with strong Business Analysis or Financial experience preferred.
  • Marketing organization or Advertising agency experience a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or related field
  • Travel 0-10%
