What you’ll be doing...

The Digital Finance Automation Payroll Consultant will support, identify, and drive Digital Finance Automation by leading the process improvement activities, initiatives, and chartered projects to support systems enhancements and automation solutions.

• Improve the efficiency of Payroll systems and processes by developing and/or maintaining automation procedures using various tools (e.g. SQL, VBA, RPA, BI tools etc.)
• Develop and deliver data-driven solutions to support business needs and analytics.
• Provide recommendations and solutions for improving data accessibility as driven by the business need for knowledge and decision.
• Integrate technical expertise and business understanding to create superior solutions for Verizon.
• Demonstrate understanding of systems and interdependencies of processes to drive the business toward the development of systems that enable continuous process improvement.
• Analyze architecture, relationship between systems, and systems flow of end-to-end designs, identify potential performance constraints with inter-system designs, and evaluate solution’s alignment with the end user experience.
• Investigate new technologies, objectively evaluating technologies, constructing presentations, presenting to senior management.
• Develop systems & applications that deliver business functions to create more self-service opportunities for their GPSO customers.
• Interact with Individual Contributors, Supervisors, and Managers within the organization to report progress initiatives and plan goals for development and process improvement.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Four or more years of relevant work experience.
• Project experience over the entire lifecycle with focus on ideation, plan building, implementation, and closure.
• Experience with process analysis & automation, organizational development, and process design.
• Experience with any query tool proficiency, including significant experience creating and manipulating code (e.g., SQL or PostgreSQL or VBA).

Even better if you have:

• A degree with a concentration in MIS, IT, Finance, Computer Programming, Computer Science, or other related scientific or technical discipline.
• Project management experience delivering meaningful results to the organization.
• Experience with any workflow support including script customization written in Groovy or Java.
• Experience with Google suite of products, specifically customization writing Google Apps Script and passing data between Google apps.
• Experience with Workday, UiPath, Automation Anywhere or Talend.
• Experience leading technical enterprise scale projects and managing competing priorities.
• Collaborative working style and ability to work with vendors, internal teams, and diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to learn or adapt or implement newer technologies.
