Work you'll do

Joining our team will give you in-depth experience with Finance System functionality, exposure to Deloitte's inner workings, and enable participation in driving the future vision of the Finance organization. You will work in a highly visible environment leading the multiple system enhancements, coordinating with various Business and Finance stakeholders as well as ITS and SWIFT system teams. Being a creative and proactive critical thinker who can work at both strategic and tactical levels to deliver high-value results will be keys to success.

About the Team

The US Firm Client to Cash (CTC) team partners with the FP&A, Engagement Financial Advisors (EFA), and various Business leaders to identify and implement digital finance solutions helping the Deloitte businesses efficiently and effectively manage client engagements.

CTC drives SWIFT and other finance system functionality to improve the end user experience as well as identify business process improvements to achieve world-class financial management.

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead workstreams within the context of a larger effort, gathering, analyzing and prioritizing requirements, formulating and testing hypotheses, and developing actionable recommendations
  • Serve as project manager to drive system improvements and accountability with ITS and where needed, provide business case, analysis, and financial projection of cost to develop, manage approvals, direct and monitor progress to roll out
  • Provide recommendations for SWIFT system improvements and provide impact analysis of system changes on reporting and other teams that interact with the SWIFT system
  • Develop and deliver materials to clearly communicate enhancements and socialize with stakeholders day-to-day impact on processes and procedures
  • Ensure system enhancements maintain a consistent data structure across all Finance systems
  • Think creatively while also using knowledge gained through prior experience, education, and training to resolve issues and remove project barriers
  • Provide leadership, guidance and development to staff across matrixed/dotted line reporting to deliver system enhancements on schedule
  • Foster open communication with the Businesses, Finance, EFA team and key stakeholders to integrate new ideas into prioritized roadmap
  • Generate standard progress metrics for leadership that provide visibility into all initiatives successes and communicate them regularly

Qualifications

Required:
  • 7+ years of relevant experience with Finance, Engagement Management, or finance systems support at a professional services firm
  • Excellent communication skills; both oral and written - role requires the ability to communicate clearly and concisely to various levels of leadership in-person, over the phone, via zoom, via email and multiple time zones
  • Ability to deliver executive level presentations, with details, logic, and content tailored to the appropriate audience
  • Exceptional relationship management skills to establish rapport, trust and confidence with key stakeholders
  • Have a proactive work ethic ("self-starter") that also embraces a collaborative ("team-player") approach to project work
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to make connections across workstreams and matrixed organizations with multiple time zones
  • Detail-oriented with ability to plan, prioritize, and make decisions on multiple time-sensitive projects
  • Experience with SAP and core Microsoft Office packages is essential
  • Ability to travel as required

Preferred:
  • MBA and/or PMP Preferred
  • SWIFT, CPM, CP3 pricing, and system integration experience
  • Client Service experience and / or professional services experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a Business-related field
  • All candidates must be willing and able to travel as needed for their clients, however, depending on staffing needs, most positions are in-office-based with limited travel required. Ability to travel up to 25%. While 25% of travel is a requirement of the role, due to COVID-19, non-essential travel has been suspended until further notice.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
